J-Park Tokyo

Namco has released information about the new J-Park Tokyo indoor theme park.  The theme park will be on the 3rd floor of the Sunshine City World Import Mart Building in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro ward.  There will be five main attractions: 2 – One Piece; 1 – Naruto and 2 – Dragon Ball.

The J-Park will have a Heroes Arena that will have mini attractions from Gintama, Kochira Katsushiki-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, Toriko, Bleach and Hunter X Hunter.  It will also have a J-World Kitchen with menus themed around Shonen Jump’s manga series and characters.

Digital to Take over Print Subscripiton

Viz Media has announced that it will have a new digital subscription for it’s Shonen Jump magazine in the U.S. called Shonen Jump Alpha.  With this new digital subscription the print version of Shonen Jump will discontinue with it’s April 2012 issue.  Libraries and individuals will need to get ready for this shift and make adjustments.

Naruto Chibi’s for OP

Libraries that have patrons that love the TCG/CCG’s and are involved in the organized play librarians will want to pass this news along to them.  ICv2’s site, linked below,  reports that in the Organized Play tournament kits there will be Naruto Chibi-style playmates that can be used as organized play prizes.  The article also gives the list of Naruto CCG Shonen Jump Championship Tournaments will be at.
