What Inspires You?

Here’s more proof that science fiction and futuristic items can inspire someone to create it.  This video shows a radio controlled car that can transform from car mode to robot mode and back to car mode and function just like you would see with the popular Transformer franchise.  Kenji Ishida of Japan’s JS Robotics posted the following video of his work, Transformer Version 8.  Goes to show that anything you dream could one day become reality.  Thank you to AnimeNews Network and YouTube for the links:

John Carter Trailer

For fans of old science fiction/fantasy John Carter opens this weekend.  This is of course an adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ John Carter of Mars.  If your library has any of this series you could do a display to spotlight them.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the trailer:

Comic-Con Documentary

For those of us that will never get to Comic-Con, Comic-Con Episode IV A Fan’s Hope might be as close as we get.  The documentary will have a very limited release and will get most of it’s money from Blu-Ray/DVD sales.  This would be one for a library to get, so patrons that have expressed an interest in the convention can see what it would be like.  Thanks to ICv2 and YouTuber “movieclipsTRAILERS” for the trailer below.
