April showed me the Deadpool Red Band trailer, but for for the site I figured I would show the 2nd trailer and you guys can go check out the red band trailer. Deadpool definitely fits better with Ryan Reynolds style of acting and it was nice to see they are tying the movie into the X-Men movies. Thanks to 20th Century Fox’s YouTube channel for the following trailer:
Is This a Halloween Treat or Trick?
This is a strange one. If true it will have the Star Wars fan community in a buzz. Yahoo has an article from the Associated Press, by Ryan Nakashima, that says George Lucas has sold his film companies to Disney to include the Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises. The sell is reported to be for $4.05 billion. I’m not sure if this excites me or not. With Disney’s track record with Science Fiction movies I don’t know. Check out the article by following the link below.

Update: I guess this is a done deal. I’m excited about this and hesitant as well. My feelings lean more to the excited part of it with Episode 7 in theaters in 2015.
R.I.P.D. Gets More Serious
Universal has set a date for the R.I.P.D. movie for June 28, 2013. This movie is set to star Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, which is based on the story written by Peter Lenkov from Dark Horse Comics. We’ll just have to see how this will play out.
Turning Shades of Green
Movie Pics of Green Lantern
ICv2’s site, linked below, has given us some pictures of Ryan Reynolds in his computer generated Green Lantern costume. Not the worst CGI I’ve seen. Quite a bit of this movie will probably be CGI because of the aliens and space & alien planet environments. Librarians can us this movie as a talking point for their DC Comic book fans and animation fans. Hopefully, this movie will be good. Trailers for Green Lantern have made me fairly pleased with what I have seen.
Directing Deadpool
ICv2’s site has a brief article, linked below, about the possibility of a Deadpool movie. 20th Century Fox is moving ahead with X-Men Origins: Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds is still slated to play Wade Wilson (Deadpool) as he did in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, the new information that Fox has released is that, at this time Tim Miller has been tapped to director the Deadpool movie, in his directorial debut.
