We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
Rosie Carney is sharing with us her music video for the single “Winter”. We’ve featured Rosie and we want to thank her for contacting ComicPop Library again. “Winter” is what I would call a Folk Ballad. It has a slower pace to it that leads you down a wooded path as the music video portrays. With this video the first 14 seconds are silent so don’t hit the pause button the song begins 15 seconds in. The ComicPop Crew enjoyed Sekai no Owari so much that we are going to occasionally spotlight their music video and want to encourage our listeners to support them. We already spotlighted “Mr. Heartache” and did a podcast for their four English songs so we are going to finish spotlighting their English songs and then go into their other singles. This time around we are featuring Sekai no Owari’s “Dragon Night” through their YouTube channel – Richard:
The Dumplings are sharing their music video, for their single “Technicolor Yawn”, with the ComicPop Library listeners. This is a duo coming out of Poland that has a great techno pop-electonica sound to them. The single has a fun catchy beat to go along with the lyrics. The Dumplings even took that fun atmosphere into their music video for the single by making it a 1970’s style unique video. I really enjoyed “Technicolor Yawn” and look forward to hearing more from them. Jutes is sharing with us his latest music video for his single “Cocaine Cinderella”. With this song Jutes hits the listeners hard with its lyrics, which won’t be for everyone, but is still an enjoyable song. RYNO is sharing his multilingual lyric music video with the ComicPop listeners, for his single “Stars in the Sky”. RYNO has a nice clean sound and “Stars in the Sky” is an enjoyable upbeat single that will have you singing with him before the song is through. Maggie Szabo is sharing her single “Forgive and Forget” with the ComicPop listeners. Maggie has one of those soulful voices that really pulls you into the song and you can feel the pain but yet beauty of the single. If you were wondering why it was quiet here the last few days it’s because I took a small vacation. As I mentioned on our Facebook account but not on the site April Brookman one of our Co-Hosts, made it to the Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Honor Band. Since this was on her own and not through the local school district we had to get her to Lincoln and stay with her during her practice through her performance. So that’s is where we have been since last Wednesday. I’m happy to report she did us and ComicPop proud. She made 5th chair in her section and the guest conductor, John Kilkenny (BM @ The Juilliard School & MM @ Temple University), let her conduct the band during one of their rehearsal sessions. She was fabulous as always and you can tell I’m a proud Father – Richard

Take a look at the music video that Diaz Grimm is sharing with us. The single is entitled “Quarterbacks” and features Lukan Raisey and Spycc. All of our fans that enjoy Rap will like this single. The lyrics do get a little muddy at times, but over all I liked the single. Diaz is taking the long trip from New Zealand to be at SXSW so take in his session if you are going to be there.
