We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
Our friends Vance Major and Carly Shibby are sharing with everyone another installment for Pen Pals, with Pen Pals 2. This is a crossover between Valiant and Melbourne Star Trek fan film productions that are being produced down at Starbase Studios in Oklahoma City. Firebug is sharing with the ComicPop listeners her lyric video for her single “For the Love”. This is one that if you enjoy the 1970’s style of music you will dig this. Juliette Tworsey, the vocalist for the group has a voice that is reminiscent of Stevie Nicks. “For the Love” is from the group upcoming album Homeostasis which comes out in late 2016, so keep an eye out at your favorite digital downloaders to pick it up when it becomes available. Rozes’ is letting our listeners enjoy their latest single “Under the Grave”. Even with the heavy topic, of a person just giving up, the single has a upbeat pop feel to it. Maggie Szabo is sharing with our listeners her latest single “Gold”. Maggie is making a splash in the industry being featured on different outlets and most recently winning the International Songwriting Award. With her single “Gold’ she has delivered a powerful fun song. It has a strong base beat and she has some great attitude in her vocals. I do believe she had a great time with this song. Conversing with Oceans is the concept of Alex Bondarev where he is composing for everyone to enjoy. Conversing with Oceans has enjoyed composing music for Google and has had placements in television ads and programs. He is sharing with our listeners his latest single “Deeper” featuring John Forte. To me Conversing with Oceans is spotlighting the instrumentals and the vocals are the little something extra for everyone to enjoy on how they blend together. As some of you will recall I, myself enjoy instrumental music and with “Deeper” the vocals could be stripped away and I’d still enjoy this piece, as I commented this seems to be the spotlight and they sound a little like M83 with something they would compose.
