Shaheen gives us that back street beat with his sound in his latest single “Flashbulbs”.  This one has a Stray Cats feel to me….I love the beat of that style of music.  It just gets me going.  Listen to “Flashbulbs” for yourself through SoundCloud to see what you think about it – Richard:

Oulipo’s Single “Blue Flames”

museoulipo

Oulipo’s, “Blue Flames” has a great beat that visually stimulates the listener.  For me what I immediately went to in my head was a series or film in the vain of a Miami Vice.  “Blue Flames” has definitely sparked my interest in Oulipo and will see what else they will be releasing.  Take a listen to “Blue Flames” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Jennie Vee Gives us “Lips Like Sugar”

musejennie

Here is Jennie Vee’s single from her upcoming EP Spying, “Lips Like Sugar”.  I haven’t listened to the complete EP yet, but with this single Jennie blends her voice in with the instruments.  I’m not sure if this is going to be ongoing or if the blending is just for this single.  With this style it really had a feel like something the Bangles would have put out back in the day.  Yes I made a Bangles reference, nothing wrong with that, I enjoyed the Bangles and I enjoyed Jennie’s “Lips Like Sugar”.  There was also a nice mid-section where the guitar got a nice solo in which doesn’t always happen these days.  Check out Jennie Vee’s music video for “Lips Like Sugar” from her YouTube channel – Richard:

“Blue Sky” Music Video

Those that enjoy the psychedelic genre will enjoy Buffalo Rodeo’s latest music for “Blue Sky”.  The single actually has a good beat and the lyrics aren’t as slurred as in some psychedelic music.  Now the music video itself has a strong psychedelic feel to it….So take a trip with Buffalo Rodeo with their music video “Blue Sky” they are sharing from their YouTube channel – Richard:

“Sound the Alarm” Taped3ck is back

blackpandaPRtape3

Taped3ck has another great sounding single on their hands with “Sound the Alarm”.  The music video that they have shared with us for the single is a fun fantasy fulfillment video, but at the end gives the statement to be comfortable with yourself as you are.  Check out “Sound the Alarm” from their YouTube channel – Richard:

Janine and the Mixtape Deliver Again with “Lose My Mind”

blackpandaPRlose1

“Lose My Mind” is definitely one of those singles that slow it down.  The latest from Janine and the Mixtape, gives an atmospheric and soulful mood with a slow driving beat.  I like it….nicely done.  Check out the music video for “Lose My Mind” through their YouTube channel – Richard:
