“It Won’t Be Long” Single from Laura Jean Anderson

Laura_2_0

Laura Jean Anderson is sharing with the ComicPop listeners her single “It Won’t Be Long”, from her A Righteous Girl EP, which comes out March 4.  Laura has what I consider a smoky voice.  It’s not a heavy smoky voice, but it has an element of smokiness to it.  With this alone listeners will gravitate to her music, because that type of voice captivates many people.  The style of the single “It Won’t be Long” is in that folk/rock area of music.  This would fit comfortably in a country listeners playlist, but she has that rock feel that will have crossover appeal as well.  Thanks to Laura for sharing “It Won’t Be Long” with us through SoundCloud and watch you digital music vendors to pick up her full EP A Righteous Girl – Richard:

Blancos’ Music Video for “BKCBD”

blackpandaPRblancos

The Blancos are making their EP debut with Broken Kids.  They are sharing with ComicPop their music video for the single “BKCBD” from the EP.  This single is one that will surprise people.  Parents will probably here the lyrics and go crazy because of the mature content.  However, this single has a beautiful rhythm and the lyrics even though rough are telling a powerful story, because their are probably several kids that think this and many more that are living it (“BKCBD”/ Broken Kids Chasing Broken Dreams).  The music video has a very cinematic feel to it and gives additional weight to the single.  The Blancos are going to be at SXSW so if you are there during their session stop in to check them out.  Until then here is their “BKCBD” music video from their YouTube channel that you can enjoy – Richard:

Brooke Forman’s Music Video for “Lioness”

city bird publicitybrooke

Brooke Forman gives us “Lioness”.  With “Lioness” their is a nice steady beat that is the structure of the single, it’s not fast but it’s not slow either.  Then with the other instruments and how they are being played and with Brooke’s voice (her voice has a lilt to it that I can’t place) gives this song a little bit of an international flare.  Thanks to Brooke for sharing with us her music video, for “Lioness”, through her YouTube channel and enjoy – Richard:

Peter Calandra takes us through “Night City”

cyberpr1peter

We get something a little different with the music video “Night City”.  Peter Calandra is sharing his latest composition with the ComicPop listeners.  “Night City” is an instrumental piece that doesn’t have a hard driving beat, but has an uplifting feel to it that will keep the listeners interested.  I for one love instrumental music and the montage of photos that compose the music video fit really well.  Thanks to Peter for sharing the music video “Night City” through his YouTube channel – Richard:

Rosie Carney’s Music Video for “Winter”

muserosie

Rosie Carney is sharing with us her music video for the single “Winter”.  We’ve featured Rosie and we want to thank her for contacting ComicPop Library again.  “Winter” is what I would call a Folk Ballad.  It has a slower pace to it that leads you down a wooded path as the music video portrays.  With this video the first 14 seconds are silent so don’t hit the pause button the song begins 15 seconds in.  Thanks to Rosie for sharing “Winter” from her webpage – Richard:

Sekai no Owari’s Music Video for Dragon Night

sekai no owari1

The ComicPop Crew enjoyed Sekai no Owari so much that we are going to occasionally spotlight their music video and want to encourage our listeners to support them.  We already spotlighted “Mr. Heartache” and did a podcast for their four English songs so we are going to finish spotlighting their English songs and then go into their other singles.  This time around we are featuring Sekai no Owari’s “Dragon Night” through their YouTube channel – Richard:

Music Video to The Dumplings single “Technicolor Yawn”

musedumplings

The Dumplings are sharing their music video, for their single “Technicolor Yawn”, with the ComicPop Library listeners.  This is a duo coming out of Poland that has a great techno pop-electonica sound to them.  The single has a fun catchy beat to go along with the lyrics.  The Dumplings even took that fun atmosphere into their music video for the single by making it a 1970’s style unique video.  I really enjoyed “Technicolor Yawn” and look forward to hearing more from them.  The Dumplings will also be making their debut at SXSW this year so look them up in Austin, until then check out “Technicolor Yawn” from The Dumplings YouTube channel – Richard:

Jutes’ latest Music Video for “Cocaine Cinderella”

musejutes12

Jutes is sharing with us his latest music video for his single “Cocaine Cinderella”.  With this song Jutes hits the listeners hard with its lyrics, which won’t be for everyone, but is still an enjoyable song.  Thanks to Jutes and The MuseBox for their continued support by sharing the music video for “Cocaine Cinderella” through Jutes’ YouTube channel – Richard:

RYNO Shares his Lyric Music Video for His Single “Stars in the Sky”

blackpandaPRryno

RYNO is sharing his multilingual lyric music video with the ComicPop listeners, for his single “Stars in the Sky”.  RYNO has a nice clean sound and “Stars in the Sky” is an enjoyable upbeat single that will have you singing with him before the song is through.  I really enjoyed this single and can’t wait to hear what else RYNO has in the works.  Thanks again to RYNO for sharing “Stars in the Sky” through his YouTube channel – Richard:
