Rod Melancon has sent us information about his upcoming tour dates which will be starting October 22 in Austin, Texas. Rod has a mixture of rock/americana in his style of play. REN delivers a nice smooth pop single with “Into the Unknown”. The single isn’t over bearing and has a catchy rhythm to it that just flows over the listener. The music video is fun to watch as well with all the color that pops out at the viewer. Very nice all the way around. Shikobi is delivering a hard rock feel to our listeners, with a touch of grunge mixed in with their single “Alive”. The single has a driving beat that puts the music right in the listeners face. Shikobi is here and they want to let everyone know. The instrumentals are on point, with the vocals having that trademark raspy sound to them that most will quickly identify with in the hard rock/grunge scene. Gold Complex gives our listeners a chance to sample their sound with their music video “Backbone”, from their self-titled EP. With “Backbone” the group is playing a fun light rhythm that is supplied by the trumpet and sax giving the single an R&B/Soul feel. It’s really nice to see live instruments actually supplying the sound rather than electronic versions. You even get to see these players in the music video that Gold Complex did for “Backbone”. The video is split between a road trip and studio video. During the studio segments they spotlight the trumpet and sax player. Producer Tulpa is sharing with our listeners his single “GNATS” which features vocals by BLANKTS. “GNATS” is steeped in the electronica music and is right at the doorstep of experimental music. Sounds are played with, but not to the extent that they are jarring. The vocals that BLANKTS provides helps listeners smooth out the tone of the single as well. This is one that if you enjoy this genre of music you’ll get into right away, if you don’t normally listen to alternative or experimental music give check out Tulpa’s “GNATS” featuring BLANKTS, through SoundCloud, and you might find a new area of music to explore – Richard:

If you are looking for a great sounding country single Michael Colton’s single “Won’t Fall Away” will satisfy that itch, from his upcoming California Blue EP. Michael is sharing with our listeners his music video that was produced for “Won’t Fall Away”. The song and music video take you back to a simpler time. The single is basically an acoustical song that allows Michael’s voice to shine through and the music video, to me, is emulating going back in time to his past, with the two young teenagers or even pre-teens and the feel that it was done with an old style video camera and the teens are even using a Polaroid to take pictures. Stefan Alexander is wanting our listeners to check out his Savior Adore Remix for his single “Skeleton”. This is a fun upbeat single that takes on that subject that most don’t want to think about, but could happen to you if it already hasn’t.
