Bento Box Recipes

Here is something to tell your anime/manga patrons and in particular One Piece fans.  Shueisha, a Japanese publishers, is releasing a recipe book inspired by Eiichiro Odo’s manga One Piece. The book will be entitled One Piece Kaizoku Bento Book and will sell for a suggested 1,380 yen or $18.00 in U.S. currency.  If they have any friends in Japan or one of the Websites that sell Japanese anime/manga items might get this book for them to purchase.  It would be a unique piece for thier collection and it would be fun translating the book to make the recipes.

Anime Recipes Being Translated

We reported before about http://www.animeshi.net/ a website that has recipes for dishes from anime shows.  The site is now starting to translate the recipes into English.  So if you didn’t want to use your translate feature on your computer, this will make it easier for you.  Go about midway down the page and on the right hand side you will see a box for English recipes.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network for the update.

Anime Food Recipes Online

There is a new site, Bistro Animeshi at http://www.animeshi.net/recipe002.html,  that just begun where the creators are posting recipes for different foods from anime shows.  Pictured above is the Herring and Pumpkin Pie from Kiki’s Delivery Service.  If you go there you will need to translate the recipes into English.  The site currently only has a few recipes that includes Spaghetti and Meatballs from Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro.  Visit their site and see what you think.
