The next anime film to come from Project Itoh is Harmony.  If you are one of the lucky you will actually be able to see it in the theater today or tomorrow (May 17 and 18).  Go to this website http://www.funimationfilms.com/movie/harmony/#theater_locator?utm_medium=display-static&utm_source=ann&utm_campaign=052016-th-harmony&utm_content=skin-051716  and type in your zip code to see if it is playing in your area and set up a movie night for this evening or tomorrow.  Thanks to FUNimation’s YouTube channel for Harmony’s trailer:

Empire of Corpses Select Release

Empire of Corpses

Project Itoh’s The Empire of Corpses will be getting a limited release in select theaters in North America.  FUNimation will be the distributor and has scheduled April 19 and 20 for these releases, however, no theaters have been named for the release yet.  If you are in a larger metropolitan you might ask around your area and I am sure the closer it gets to the release date FUNimation will have places listed on their website.  At least I would hope so, so fans can attend.  Here is the teaser trailer that FUNimation’s YouTube channel has put out for Empire of Corpses:

Empire of Corpses Trailer

empire

The trailer for The Empire of Corpses has begun streaming on their YouTube page and website.  The film along with others are based on novelist Project Itoh works.  Within the trailer the theme song for the movie, “Door” by EGOIST, is featured.  Each of these anime films based on Project Itoh’s works looks good and I hope they will be available in the North American market.  Here’s the trailer for The Empire of Corpses:

Metal Gear Solid Novel

Viz Media is releasing Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots novel, June 19th.  This title will be one that appeals not only to the anime/manga fan, but also your library’s gaming fans.  The project MSRP will be $15.99.  When you get it in at your library you could spotlight other gaming titles that have been made into novels (i.e. Resident Evil, MASS Effect, and Doom just to name a few that have been published over the years).
