Battle Tapes release Music Video to “If Only”

Battle Tapes begins “If Only” with a slower electronic sound then moves into a nice drum transition with a harder beat. The single carries the faster base beat through the remainder of the song. The lead singer uses auto-tune through out the song at different points, mainly for the chorus. If you are a fan of the 1980’s – 1990’s synth-pop you will dig this single. As my first exposure to Battle Tapes I enjoyed the sound. If you enjoyed them as well be sure to subscribe to them on YouTube and check out your digital vendors of choice to give them your support.

Moonray is “No Stranger to Love”

Moonray is a duo that plays in the techno pop genre with their single “No Stranger to Love”. It’s a fun throwback to the 1970’s and 1980’s. The rhythm is easy to get into and the lyrics are clear so even after just a listen or two you will be able to sing along the Jonray and Barbara Higginbotham. This single is being released to get everyone ready for them upcoming Digital Moon LP (no exact release date at this time). Summer Dennis and Rhymes has Us going in “Circles”

“Circles” is the current single from Summer Dennis and Rhymes from their album Second Summer which is due out tomorrow. The rhythm and vocals join together in a smooth sultry soul mix that I enjoyed. The artists are giving our listeners an early chance to listen and view their single “Circles” before the release of their Second Summer LP through their YouTube channel. Sharing some Magic with the Single “Magic Man”

This single from The Endangered Species band makes me feel like I’m in the middle of New Orleans listening to some good ole Rockin’ Soul. The rhythm works you through the streets at a nice strutting pace. Vocals have that gravely smoky sound that further takes you down the streets of Orleans. Be sure to check out their single and look for their Endangered Species album available for download. Thanks again to Meijin of Effective Immediately PR for sharing this group and their music video, from their YouTube channel, with ComicPop’s listeners – Richard:

Foxy Mojo is with you “Till the Morning Light”

Really enjoyed this single from Foxy Mojo. “Till the Morning Light” starts out with a strong beat and carries it through the entire song. It is classified as Alt Rock, but if you were fans of the Hair Bands back in the day this will more than likely appeal to you as well. Just a pure fun song with a rocking beat. Be on the look out for Foxy Mojo’s new album, Revival, featuring this single come February 2020.Thanks to Foxy Mojo and Meijin over at Effective Immediately PR for giving us and our listeners the opportunity to listen to “Till the Morning Light” – Richard:

Summer Dennis and Rhymes Single “The Party”

“The Party” from Summer Dennis and Rhymes is like taking a time machine back to the 1970’s. It has the Disco/Soul flavor that everyone loved and that I still enjoy. The feeling that this single instills is getting on the dance floor and grooving with your partner with the smooth tones that are being coaxed from the instruments to the vocals that are being laid down.

So grab your partner and start that groove with the music video for “The Party” through their YouTube channel. Thanks to Meijin Bruttomesso of Effective Immediately PR for sharing this track to ComicPop and our listeners.

Kat Holland’s Music Video for “The One”

Kat Holland is sharing with out listeners her single “The One”, through her YouTube channel. Kat is invoking a smooth rhythmic sound with this single. The instrumentals give it a flare of pop, but Kat’s vocals come across very smooth. Blending in the Jazz and Pop feel I really like and can’t wait to her what else she gives us to hear. Her EP Retrovision is scheduled for a March 22 drop so be sure to keep an eye out for it from you digital vendor of choice. Until then enjoy Kat Holland’s music video for her single “The One” – Richard:

Jackie Venson’s New Single “Witchcraft”

“Witchcraft” is another strong outing for Jackie Venson. It has a great rock beat with a little bit of techno thrown in, but it’s really about that rock beat. Jackie’s voice fits this style of music and I can feel her having fun with her music. She is just one of those artist that I can connect and get into her music with minimal effort because I enjoy it so much. If you are looking for a new rock musician be sure to look up Jackie Venson’s catalog and download her to you digital devices. Jackie is sharing with our listeners her single “Witchcraft” through SoundCloud, and be sure to keep checking your digital vendors of choice for her next album Joy which is scheduled to drop April 5 – Richard:

A Brilliant Lie’s newest release “The Tarot”

A Brilliant Lie is coming at your fast and loud with their latest “The Tarot”. I love getting some Rock! For some reason it seems we don’t hear that much Rock currently. A Brilliant Lie gives us this with an aggressive sound and the rough sounding vocals that I am enjoying. For Rock fans that have been looking for someone new to check out, A Brilliant Lie might be the band for you. “The Tarot” is from their upcoming Threads: Weaver due out on March 29. Until then A Brilliant Lie wants ComicPop’s listeners to have an early taste of what’s to come with “The Tarot” through SoundCloud – Richard:
