Mass Effect Feature in Select Theaters

AnimeNews Network has reported that the upcoming Mass Effect: Paragon Lost feature will be shown in very limited theaters. The following cities will have the feature.  If you live in the area check and see if it is showing close to you.  Links are provided below to purchase tickets.  The Blu-ray and DVD will be released December 28.

This is one anime film libraries will want to put on their radar.  There is no release date scheduled yet, but FUNimation released the trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect: Paragon Lost anime movie trailer.  The story is the prequel to the Mass Effect 3 role-playing game.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network and YouTube for the following trailer:

Metal Gear Solid Novel

Viz Media is releasing Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots novel, June 19th.  This title will be one that appeals not only to the anime/manga fan, but also your library’s gaming fans.  The project MSRP will be $15.99.  When you get it in at your library you could spotlight other gaming titles that have been made into novels (i.e. Resident Evil, MASS Effect, and Doom just to name a few that have been published over the years).

Mass Effect Video

This is for all your Mass Effect fans and video gamers in general.  T.O. Entertainment began streaming the video below in preparation for the release of T.O. Entertainment, Production I.G. and distributor FUNimation Entertainment of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost anime.  There is no set release date yet, but this is libraries will want to consider adding to their animation collection.  Based on BioWare’s popular Mass Effect role playing game, Paragon Lost will be a prequel for the video game Mass Effect 3.  Thanks to T.O. Today is Mass Effect Day

FUNimation gets Mass Effect

Libraries that have an anime fan base and gaming fan base will want to keep this title on their radar.  BioWare has announced that FUNimation and the Japanese studio T.O. Entertainment will be teaming up to bring out a Mass Effect anime movie.  Production is already in motion and they are aiming for a Summer 2012 release to DVD.  Follow the link back to Anime News Network’s site, for the full article.
