Lady Low is giving the listeners of ComicPop Library another great music video for their single “You & I”. I love Lady Low’s sound and we definitely want everyone to enjoy their harmony that they have in this, what I would call, Love Ballad. The music video harkens back to “High School” days with being in black and white and with the letterman’s jacket. The ComicPop Crew has been away for a while helping our friends down in Oklahoma. More on that next week. Lady Low is starting our run of Christmas music that our talented musicians share with us during the holiday’s. This one, in the Lady Low tradition, is a little sad as you can tell with the title of “Lonely Christmas”. However, this is a very good single that I think everyone will enjoy. Some will relate to the song specifically others might not, but it is one of those singles that just grabs you and won’t let go. Lady Low gives us another atmospheric single to share with our listeners. “Burning Like a Fever” has that ballad feel to it and then the chorus hits on a great crescendo with the instruments and voices intermingling. Take a listen through Soundcloud – Richard:
Lady Low is sharing with us their latest music video for the single “Hello Sweet Goodbye”. I don’t know what it is about this group, but I am still liking what they are doing. Lady Low has a way for having darkly beautiful songs. I know it sounds weird, but I can’t think of another way to say it. This single is no exception. The group pulls you in and you just absorb their music into your skin. The video they did for this single is equally absorbing. It is simply done, but I really enjoyed it. We’ve spotlighted Lady Low’s single “Rainy Day”. Now they are giving us their music video for everyone to enjoy. Check out “Rainy Day” through Lady Low’s YouTube channel they have a great sound for the soulful out there:
“Rainy Day” is the current release from Lady Low, through the website Buzzbands L.A. Lady Low has a nice sound that kind of melds with your senses to me. It’s not flashy, just nice and harmonious. They sing well together without one person trying to over power the other in the singles I’ve listened to. Have a listen to “Rainy Day” here through SoundCloud – Richard:
I don’t know why but this song just hit me just right. Like Lady Low’s previous single this single, “When I Do Wrong” isn’t one that will get you up moving. It is a slower song, but that is their intent. The lyrics and instruments are simple, but evocative. Give “When I Do Wrong” a listen through SoundCloud – Richard
Lady Low reworks the single “Baby Baby”, originally released by The Vibrators in ’77. If you are not prepared for Lady Low’s sound it will probably make you say what is going on. However, once you get into the song and the style that they are singing, which they have termed “Romance Rock”, it is almost hypnotic. The single is slowed down and the lower voice register they sing in is also drawn out in the lyrics.
