Sentai Filmworks has announced that they have licensed the second season of K-ON! So all you K-ON fans rejoice. I speculate that it will probably be released during the third or fourth quarter of the year. So if you have an anime section within your library mark your calendars to begin looking for the ordering information and get it to your purchasing department as soon as you get it.
K-ON! fans in Osaka will have a unique opportunity on December 3. The Apollo Cinemas 8 will be showing midnight screenings of the upcoming K-ON! film. The theater is warning individuals that drive to watch the screen will have to find alternate parking, because the parking lot that the Apollo Cinemas 8 is located closes for the night at midnight and reopens at 7:00 a.m. the that morning. Have fun at the screening.
Tokyo’s Namco Namja Town is having fun again. This time it’s with the release of the K-ON! film. To celebrate K-ON!’s release they will have desserts and entrees from November 18-January 27 with a K-ON! theme. Pictured above is the variety of food that will be available. The Keihan Railway in Japan is the latest company to have fun with the country’s pop culture. Starting Monday, in Otsu City, the company will have a “Ho-kage Tea Time Train” that will be wrapped in images of K-ON! characters. The train will run from the Ishiyamadera to the Sakamota Stations on the Otsu line until late December.
