Is this a case of anime inspiring fashion? Could be. The first picture above is of the character Rei Ayanami, from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, while the second picture is of model Jourdan Dunn, at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. You can tell that Dunn’s outfit resembles the plugsuit of the Rei character. Kind of a cool nod to have the fashion designer do this and it makes you wonder if as designers shift to younger individuals what will be the inspiration that they pull from.
