Don’t Forget Locke and Key

Locke and Key is written by Joe Hill and is one of my favorite reads.  IDW Publishing has published 4 collected editions of this title and has a fifth in the works.  The title is geared for upper teens (15 and Up) and adult readers.  If your library does not have this title yet I strongly recommend it. The following trailer is provided by YouTuber TomWaltz:

King and Hill become King of the Hill

Stephen King and his son Joe Hill are teaming up to produce a graphic novel adaptation of the co-written novel Throttle.  The adaptation will be entitle Road Rage and published through IDW.  Throttle/Road Rage is a work that the two men did to pay tribute to Richard Matheson’s Duel.  Interior art will be provide by Nelson Daniel and covers by Phil Noto.  Road Rage is scheduled to be released in February.  Later in the year Chris Ryall will adapt Matheson’s Duel with art provided by Rafa Garres.

What Could Have Been

ICv2 has posted the pilot trailer of what could have been a Locke and Key television series based on Joe Hill’s comic book series.  From the trailer it looked pretty good.  Thanks to ICv2, through YouTuber DarthRong, for this trailer.

SDCC Locke & Key Screening

If you or one of your patrons happens to be going to the San Diego Comic-Con you can pass this along to them.  On July 22nd, Friday of the Con, at 10:30 a.m., in room 8, a screening of the pilot for Locke & Key and then a panel afterwards with author Joe Hill and IDW’s Chris Ryall will be held.  This might be the only chance to see Locke & Key since the Fox network didn’t pick it up as a series and no other networks have looked at it either.
