Matt Koelsch is sharing with our listeners his latest single “Perfectly Aligned”. This is a fun song that has a very catchy rhythm. Summer is about fun music and Matt has this in spades. You have the guitar and drums providing a great sound and then to top it of he brings in the horns…love it! You can tell by the way Matt is singing this single that he is also having fun, with his vocals coming through fresh and clear. Shane Henry’s New Single “Save Me”
Shane Henry’s music might be familiar to some. His music has been heard on many television networks including: NBC; CBS; Discovery Channel; Hallmark Channel; and E! Today Shane is sharing with our listeners his latest single “Save Me”. From the very beginning of “Save Me” you have that R&B/Rock sound. But then the more you listen and catch Shane’s voice which draws out the lyrics my brain click and it went to Southern Rock. With that electric guitar front and center, the driving bass beat and then the harmonica comes in on the bridges. It’s a really nice sound that takes from each style, but doesn’t over power each other. Here is Shane Henry’s “Save Me”, through SoundCloud, for you to enjoy to prepare for his upcoming album Light in the Dark releasing on April 28 – Richard:
The Jake Davis Band is “Saying It Right”!
The Jake Davis Band is sharing their debut single, “Saying It Right”, from their EP The Valley. “Saying It Right” is a fine entry in the pop/electro pop field. It has a clean strong beat that pulls the listener in and Jake’s voice is clear and comes through nicely. Other members of the band are Jordan Meltzer, on guitar, James Harmon, on Bass, and Eddy Barco, on drums. If this is any indication of what the EP will be like it will be a welcome addition to your music collection. Now after saying all of that I would really love to hear Jake do an acoustical version of this song, I think it would add another dimension to the single. Nick Valentini Collective Rides the “Carousel”
The Nick Valentini Collective invites the ComicPop listeners to ride the “Carousel”. This band, as you can tell by the above pic, has many members and they utilize the talents of each to derive their sound. The single “Carousel” to me has four distinct levels to it. The first part of the single gives one a meditative feel with nice soulful harmonies and then it shifts into a more pop sound with an upbeat tempo, next it hits the pinnacle with a maddening beat, to the drop of that goes back to the soulfulness in the beginning of the single. I believe “Carousel” is meant to be an introspective piece for the band and the listener to experience. The music video that the Collective is sharing is very peaceful and beautiful to watch. The band has an album in the works for this Summer, but for now to wet our appetites The Nick Valentini Collective is sharing the music video for “Carousel” through their YouTube channel. This is an interesting sound and I’m looking forward to what else the band will produce – Richard:
Autumn In June Single “HEROin KIDZ”
Autumn in June is hitting the scene with the single “HEROin KIDZ”. The single’s lyric might not appeal to some, but it is a legit topic to cover. The single’s vocals tend to get lost at times within the powerful instrumentals. The rhythm is good and catchy, but it isn’t a fast single or a slow one, it hits that in between stage. I also love hearing the trumpets. Some like the vocals to blend in with the instruments, I tend to lean more to nice clean and clear vocals, because the voice is an instrument in and of itself and needs to be in the spot light.
