Fullmetal Trailer Streaming
Jump to the below website for Fullmetal Alchemist: Milos no Sei-Naru Hoshi trailers. There is a set of five different trailers you can watch. Even though it is in Japanese you patrons will still be interested in watching the trailer. Why? Because as popular as Fullmetal Alchemist is, this movie will eventually make it to the U.S. market for sell. And then libraries will want to pick it up for their Anime Collections.
Trigun Movie Coming to U.S.
Anime News Network’s site has an article on the new Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie. This is an older series so some newer librarians might not be familiar with the title. This was one of the funnier series that I have seen. The site also states that the movie will get a limited release in were some theaters will show the English Dubbed version of the film and others will receive the original Japanese undubbed verision. Navarre sells FUNimation
ICv2 has an article concerning Navarre Corporation selling FUNimation for $24 million to an investment group which includes founder Gen Fukunaga. Supernatural Anime
Libraries that have patrons that enjoy the Supernatural television series, books, and graphic novels will want to get this Blu-Ray/DVD set. Warner Bros. Television has announced that Supernatural: The Anime Series will be released in the U.S. on July 26. Both lead actors, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, have lent their voices for all 22 episodes. Funimation gets Tales of Vesperia
Anime News Network is reporting that Funimation has acquired the rights of the 2009 anime film Tales of Vesperia to release in the United States. They also acquired rights for Fractale and Freezing. All of these are slated to be released next year. Follow the link to the article.

Smithsonian to Host Satoshi Kon Tribute
Anime News Network has posted that the author of Japanamerica, Ronald Kelts, will host a tribute of director Satoshi Kon at the Smithsonian Museum. Any librarians in the D.C. area will want to let their anime fans know about this event. The tribute is this Saturday, April 2, so there is no time to waste in letting your patrons know about this event. The day will start with a screening of Kiki’s Delivery Service and end with the tribute, by Kelts, for Satoshi Kon and then followed by a screening of Kon’s Paprika. First Look at X-Men Anime Characters
Let your library patrons that are interested in comic books and Japanese anime know about the link provided below. Marvel’s site has posted an article and has a couple of images from the new X-Men Anime series that will be coming out in Japan. When this series comes to U.S. shores libraries will need to consider purchasing this to have a great tie-in with United States comic books and Japanese Anime. You could use this to create new fans for both formats.
