A&E is developing O.C.T. (Occult Crimes Taskforce) an Image Comics property. Rosario Dawson and Gale Anne Hurd have been named the executive producers to bring this book to the small screen. A&E has a decent track record for it’s new television series, we’ll see if this actually will be made and put on the air waves for our viewing pleasure.
Dark Horse going Day and Date
Dark Horse Comics has announced that as of December 14, all of their titles will released as print and digital on the same date. They are joining a growing number of publishers that are going to this business model which include Marvel, DC, and Image to name just a few.
Image Comcis Spotlighted
Anyone in the Oakland area on February 24-26 will want to check this convention out. The Oakland Convention Center is hosting the Image Comics and Amazing Comic Convention which will host the Image Expo for the three days spotlighting creator owned comics and the 20th Anniversary of Image Comics.

Will the Mission be Completed
ICv2 is reporting that Universal Pictures has optioned the Image title War Heroes. The screenplay is being written by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer. War Heroes is the product of Mark Millar and Tony Harris. The title began in 2008, but has not yet been finished. Maybe if Universal pushes this project the comic series will be completed for a possible release date.
The Dead Rise Again
AMC has set the date for the debut of season 2 of the Walking Dead. The date is October 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET and it will be a 90 minute episode.
This Could Get Dangerous
ICv2 is reporting that Benderspink has J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell’s Danger Girl movie in the works. As I always say, this is Hollywood…..Something can be in the works for a very long time.
Going Into the Vault
ICv2 is reporting that Graham King’s GK Films and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil has gotten the rights to Sam Sarkar’s The Vault. The Vault is a three issue treasure hunting story that is being published by Image Comics. Movies and comics are moving at a fast pace anymore, because the rights, like for The Vault were optioned and the 1st issue isn’t even out or just barely out on stands. It sounded interesting so I am picking it up to read.
CBDLF Annual
Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) is announcing that the CBLDF’s annual will be available this October. Image Comics is producing the annual which will be a compilation by the industry’s best. Each story will be about how censorship is the ultimate bullying and how it needs to be defeated. All proceeds will go to the CBLDF to help fund their efforts to combat censorship. So this October help out for this special cause.
