Dark Horse is expanding the Hellboy Universe with this 5 issue series, The Visitor: How and Why He Stayed. The series is slated to start February 2017 and then after it’s run, like other Mike Mignola works this will more than likely be gathered into a collected edition. R.I.P.D. Trailer and I was Wrong
In our Summer Movie podcast I speculated that the R.I.P.D. was a spinoff of the Hellboy Comics. I humbly come to you and say I was completely wrong. It is still based on a comic book though. Hellboy Contest
Librarians let your Hellboy fans know that Dark Horse is having a Hellboy contest were a person is to recreate a Hellboy cover in any medium. The finished product will have to be scanned and sent to them no later than July 13. The winner of the contest will be selected on July 14. Up for grabs is the possibility to win a signed Hellboy: The Fury #1 and Hellboy Library Edition Vol. 4. Follow the link for the complete contest rules.

B.P.R.D. Creative Team at Emerald City Con
Librarians in the Seattle area take note. This is a cool chance to see the creative team of B.P.R.D., from the pages of Hellboy, at the Emerald City ComicCon. The Con is being held March 4-6, so let your patrons that love them some B.P.R.D. know about this as soon as possible. If any of your patrons are going you can also ask them to bring you some swag back to you can put up in your library for a display.
