A Letter from Lots of Love to their Fans

A Message from LOTS OF LOVE to you:

I am very excited to finally be able to share my very first full-length album ‘From the Start’ with you and the rest of the world.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. It has always had the power to take me to magical places and experience feelings I never knew I had in places I never even knew existed. That’s what good music does.

When I first started writing songs of my own it was the most exciting and transformative feeling in the world!  The first song I ever wrote, ‘It’s Happening’ practically flew out of me around nine years ago. If you listen to lyrics you can kind of tell. The moment I played back my first demo-recording of it, my life had been changed.  From that point on, I knew I was a song-writer.  Now, not only did I have access to the powerful world of listening to great music by other artists, but I realized I also had the power to make music of my own. Song-writing is one of the greatest gifts in the world.  It is an emotional outlet and can be your best friend when you need one. It can also be a fun and rewarding form of self-expression and artistry.

It is my intention with the release of ‘From the Start’ , that this album will find its audience. The music I’ve made over the years has certainly been a gift to me. Now I want to share it with you, and allow it to reach the minds, ears and hearts of all people in this world who will enjoy it.

There are songs on this album that will uplift you, songs that you can listen to when you are sad and need to feel sad a little while longer, and songs that might make you think will probably surprise your ears. I hope you enjoy the music, and please stay in touch with me if you dig it. Thank you!

LOTS OF LOVE,

Jess

And remember to pick up Lots of Love’s new album From the Start, which came out yesterday.  Here is a sample of Lots of Love’s music that Jess was kind enough to let ComicPop Library’s gang so check out “It’s So Hard”.

New Album gives LOTS OF LOVE “From the Start”

Lots of Love

Premieres Her Latest Track

From The Start

Full Length Album out August 27th

Jessica Fleischer has been playing music in some form or another for as long as she can remember. There were years of bedroom demos and small shows around Los Angeles. But now, with the recording and release of her debut album under the moniker LOTS OF LOVE, Jessica is ready to share with the world.

Lots of Love gives me a nostalgic feeling when I listen to the individual singles.  I hear the old rock influence shinning through, but then I will hear a sneak of country mixed in.  To me I’m hearing that mixture (and I might be the only one) and enjoying it.  When I hear Jessica’s voice I get transported back to when songs like “My Boyfriends Back” by The Angels and “Johnny Angel” by Shelly Fabares, but like I said an occasional sneak of like a Crystal Gayle or even some Donna Fargo, where playing on the radio.  So to me this is a winner, something that I haven’t heard personally in a while, so it’s refreshing for me.

Jessica was kind enough to allow us to post the track, “It’s So Hard”, from her new album for our ComicPop listeners. Give it a listen I think you will enjoy it.  So thank you to Jessica for doing this for our listeners and be sure to pick up her album on August 27!

beaf13-820b.jpg

Hitting Brooklyn for the fifth year running, The Deli’s B.E.A.F. can only be described as the most underground and cross-genre showcase of NYC’s new talent.
BEST OF NYC EMERGING ARTISTS 2013 in the Spring issue of The Deli
The Deli Magazine is the only publication and web site entirely focused on the NYC music scene’s emerging artists. With an approach to local music organized by genre, this fest and the Spring 2013 Deli issue linked to it (out on May 23) offer the audience a quality selection of new local music for all tastes.
THE BEST OF NYC 2012 POLL FOR EMERGING ARTISTS
Once a year this established indie publication gathers together la crème de la crème of the NYC music industry, and asks them to choose their favorite Emerging Local Artists. Almost 100 artists including Spirit Family Reunion, Foxygen, DIIV, Widowspeak, Skaters, X Ambassadors have been selected by this jury of scene makers, which includes NYC bloggers, music writers, venue booking agents & radio DJs.
B.E.A.F. as in Best of Emerging Artists Fest
Each year, the Spring issue of The Deli is entirely dedicated to the artists that made this Best of NYC List and to the live event linked to it, aptly called The Deli’s NYC B.E.A.F. (as in Best of Emerging Artists Fest)
The Fest will last 4 days and span across 3 of Williamsburg’s finest LIVE venues including the stunning Brooklyn Bowl, Bedford Ave’s hub Spike Hill and Cameo Gallery.
More About The Deli:
Like the artists and bands they serve, The Deli is 100% Independent & by shifting their attention locally has become a pioneer in its field, covering and booking shows with a range of bands that have gone on to become incredibly popular such as: Grizzly Bear, We Are Scientists, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ra Ra Riot, Vampire Weekend, A Place to Bury Strangers, Chairlift, Semi Precious Weapon, Yeasayer, Au Revoir Simone, Lia Ices and many others.
What’s on the docket, you ask? Take a peek at the complete details for all the events taking place during the festival over the 4 days here. Make sure you’re one of the first to experience this eclectic and eccentric roster of trailblazers for fronting the NYC music scene this Spring at B.E.A.F June 2013.
If you happen to be in the area, this looks to be a great time, especially for music lovers.  So be sure to make plans to attend and have a great time.

MOVE Event April 27

For Immediate Release

Industry Veteran Bob Tulipan To Give Keynote Speech and MOVE Music Festival on Saturday, April 27

(Albany, NY) — March 22, 2013 –Get ready music lovers!   Albany ranks as the nation’s 9th largest breeding ground for new music and is the location for this year’s MOVE Festival for the second year running.  For those that couldn’t afford the price of a ticket to Austin last month, MOVE Music Festival is the alternative.  Move is an indie music festival that premiered last spring and is completely focused on spotlighting diverse and emerging talent, much akin to the early days of SXSW.  It takes place on Saturday, April 27.

“The idea behind Move is to giving regional bands a chance to launch their careers in the independent music scene,” comments festival owner and founder Bernie Walters.  The festival is the perfect platform for these bands to gain experience in performing live to a local audience as well as to industry insiders,” he continues.

SXSW grew from 700 attendees in 1987 to over 300,000 in 2012 and even beyond that this year. In the same way that SXSW started out as an organic stage for showcasing and promoting indie music and film, and encouraging progressive dialogue within those industries, MOVE is attempting to do the same.
General admission wristbands cost $15 plus shipping and handling. Check out the Pledge Drive where you can pledge for early access & discounted packages to MOVE 2013!
