Toonami Coming Back to Adult Swim

Cartoon Network is bringing back Toonami to it’s Adult Swim block on May 27 at 12:00 a.m. (midnight).  Most of the shows will be what you would think: Bleach; Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood; Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig; and Cowboy Bebop.  However two shows will be airing that are new to the block: Deadman Wonderland (12:30 a.m.) and Casshern Sins (1:00 a.m.)  It’s good to see Toonami coming back and hopefully they will expand on their variety of shows in the future.

Fullmetal Trailer

The FUNimation Channel on YouTube has recently added a trailer for the Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos film.  The DVD/Blu-ray discs are scheduled for release in the Spring of 2012.  Mark your calendars so you can let your purchasing agents know when to order the film for your library.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber JellonaKunkku.  The song used by JellonaKunkku is “Take on Me” performed by A-Ha and is edited to scenes from Fullmetal Alchemist.  For those that can remember the music video for “Take on Me”, it was set in a comic book world.  Therefore, it is fitting that it be used for another comic book world.  Their are a few jumps in the editing, but the majority is cleanly done and where primarily taken from the clean openings of the series. I could be wrong about the clean openings being used, but they look real familiar to me.  A nice job by JellonaKunkku on bringing together two things I enjoy.  You can check out the video below or go to YouTube and use the search query “Fullmetal Alchemist – Take On Me AMV”.
