For all you art collectors out there be aware that over 70 pieces of Frank Frazetta art from the collection of DocDave Winiewicz will be going up for auction. Profiles in History will be conducting the auction and they are currently working on a catalog for the auction. Vanguard Publishing is scheduled to release The Frazetta Sketchbook this December. This is one that your library will want to really consider picking up for its Art Collection. Every Fantasy reader knows his work and will enjoy this collection of various pieces of Frazetta’s art work. The suggested MSRP is $39.95.
If you have some patrons that need something to do this week and holiday weekend let them know about Dark Horse’s Frazetta Contest. Dark Horse wants the person to take a picture re-enacting a Frazetta Conan cover of their choice. If there are multiple people on the cover you can use friends to pose with you. If you are 18 and older you can enter the contest by July 4th. Two winners will be chosen and they will receive all eight Conan: The Frazetta Series cover titles. Link below for more information.
