We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
This will appeal to the Firefly fans out there as well as customizable modelers. Firefly The Game has released another set of unpainted models for the game that gamers can customize to their own desires. Gail Force Nine is set for a December release of the new set that will include five ships to include 2 Firefly Series IV ships, an Interceptor, The S.S. Walden, and an Alliance Corvette. The MSRP will be for $39.99 for the set.
This will be one you will want to consider for your gaming collection. Toy Vault, Inc. will be releasing Firefly: Out to the Black card game this coming October, with a suggested price of $24.99. Even though Firefly has not been in production for several years, it has become a cult favorite of science fiction fans.
This week’s AMV comes from YouTuber Heironeous77. Heironeous takes scenes from Serenity and edits them around the song “Blaze of Glory” performed by Bon Jovi. I believe everyone that is a science fiction fan knows about Firefly and it’s follow-up movie Serenity. If you haven’t seen either go to your library’s and asked to check the series and movie out. Just be sure to watch the series before you watch the movie. If your library doesn’t have them ask them to get it for you through their Interlibrary Loan Program. “Blaze of Glory” fits this series to a “T”. The cuts between scenes is nicely done and lyrics to from the song emulate the scenes well. It’s a shame that this AMV hasn’t been seen by more people. Hopefully this will change with this posting. This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber Heironeous77. This individual takes the song “Blaze of Glory”, performed by Bon Jovi, and edits in scenes from the movie Serenity. The views on this video are low, but don’t let that stop you from view it. It is put together nicely, with attention given to the lyrics of the song and what images are used from the movie. The editing between scenes is smooth in the transitions with no jerkiness at all. If you have not seen Firefly the series or Serenity I recommend that you check it out, it’s a fun series, but be sure you start with the series and then watch the movie. ICv2 reports that the Adrianne Palicki and Ray Stevenson have been signed for roles in G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes. Palicki is slated to play Lady Jaye, a Joe, and Stevenson is slated to play Firefly, a Cobra ninja.
