For everyone that likes the miniatures WizKids is coming out with a new set in August. This set is entitled Dungeons & Dragons: Icons of the Realms. It will have 54 miniatures that are inspired from the Forgotten Realms universe. You have a little bit of time before the hit shelves so start saving now.
WizKids and Paizo Publishing is bring gamers more game pieces in their Pathfinder Battles: Dungeons Deep. The scheduled release for this set is June and it will contain 51 figures.
More miniatures for the gamers out there. WizKids is releasing more expansion packs for it’s Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing game waves 6 – 10. So get ready to spend some money next year.
Wizards of the Coast is releasing several products this year. First will be Into the Unknown: The Dungeon Survival Guide Hardback Book for $29.95, release date is scheduled for May 15th. Next will be the Miniatures game of Dungeon Command: Sting of Lolth faction packs for $39.99 with a release date of July 17. Finally Menzoberranzan Campaign Setting is for all the dungeon masters to help make campaigns for the roleplaying aspect, it is set for an August 21st release date. Paizo Publishing is releasing Visions of War: The Art of Wayne Reynolds, May 15, 2012. Most of your library’s patrons will recognize him from artwork he has done for Dungeons & Dragons, World of Warcraft and Magic: The Gathering. This would be a great art book, to pre-order for your collection, that will interest your fantasy readers, art enthusiasts and the gamers. The suggested price is $29.99 (ISBN 978-1601254252).
Librarians that have patrons that like role playing games will want to pass on this information. Wizards of the Coast has announced a new Dungeons & Dragons supplement, Book of Vile Darkness, to be released in conjunction with the Syfy movie of the same name, in December. The suggested price will be $29.95. Libraries that pick up gaming books and have a collection of role playing manuals will also want to have this placed on pre-order so they can get it when it comes out.
Any librarians in the Dodge City, Kansas area let your RPG fans know about Dodge City Public Library’s Dungeons & Dragons event. It will be held Tuesday March, 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m. This event for Teens 13 through 19 years of age. When you get to the library you will need to go to the lower level meeting room. This is an event that other libraries can replicate fairly easily.
