Here is a recently released anime that is popular, Deadman Wonderland. It is available from FUNimation and is one that you will want to place in the young adult or adult section of your DVD/Blu-Ray collections. The story is definitely mature in nature. Cartoon Network is bringing back Toonami to it’s Adult Swim block on May 27 at 12:00 a.m. (midnight). Most of the shows will be what you would think: Bleach; Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood; Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig; and Cowboy Bebop. However two shows will be airing that are new to the block: Deadman Wonderland (12:30 a.m.) and Casshern Sins (1:00 a.m.) It’s good to see Toonami coming back and hopefully they will expand on their variety of shows in the future.
FUNimation announced at Anime Expo six new licenses that they acquired. The six titles are: science fiction story – Steins;Gate; a risque comedy – B Gata H Kei – Yamada’s First Time; post-apocalyptic – Deadman Wonderland; Fantasy – Baka and Test 2nd series; science fiction comedy – Cat Planet Cuties; and a financial thriller {C}.
