The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo graphic novel will be one that the larger libraries might want to pick up given the popularity of the novels. Smaller libraries might want to strongly consider it, if there is a call for it. Thanks to YouTuber “DCEntertainmentTV” for the following trailer:

HeroClix “No Man’s Land” Event
WizKids is having a DC HeroClix’s event. The event revolves around the Batman storyline “No Man’s Land”. Have your gamers that are into HeroClix check with their local gaming stores to see if they will be participating in this event. Prizes will include limited edition figures, like the Poison Ivy above and a Grand Prize of the Batcave, also pictured above. Good luck to all you gamers.

HeroClix to Distribute Holiday Characters
WizKids is bringing out three 2012 HeroClix Seasonal Holiday Figures. They will be: Hobbit Holiday Elf (for the upcoming Hobbit game); Mephisto (for the Marvel HeroClix game); and White Lantern Batman (for the DC HeroClix game). There is no release date yet. Therefore, your library’s gaming fans might want to hit their local hobby store and see if they can reserve a set. This would even be a cool set to use as a give-away if your library sponsors gaming tournaments with HeroClix.
Arrow Coming to a TV and Comic Shop Near You
Along with the premiere of Arrow, based on DC Comics Green Arrow, on October 10, DC Comics will be publishing an Arrow comic series. This is one that libraries might want to pick up in trade especially if the TV series gets a strong following.

Robot Chicken spoofs DC
IGNentertainment has posted the trailer for Robot Chicken’s season opener. On September 9, the Robot Chicken crew is spoofing DC Comics in the Robot Chicken DC Comics Special. Robot Chicken is not for everyone, but I always get a laugh out of their shows. Thanks to IGNentertainment and YouTube for the following trailer:
AMV Spotlight of the Week
This weeks AMV Spotlight is on YouTuber xthehuntressx. Xthehuntressx takes the song “Fighter” performed by Christina Aguilera and edits it around scenes from Justice League. These cut scenes are very clean and crisp, which makes the AMV so much nicer to view. At one point I began to wonder if xthehuntressx used Black Canary to emulate Ms. Aguilera, when Black Canary is using her sonic scream I just pictured Aguilera hit her high notes. The one fault I have for the AMV is that it has side borders. If the video image would have fit the YouTube screen it would have been more attractive. One of the great things about this video is that you get to see a verity of DC heroes. Some you will know and others that are less known unless you read DC Comics. Great job xthehuntressx. Thanks to YouTube for the video and you can find it on their site or check it out below:
Dark Knight Returns

Their is no release date as of this time, but libraries will want to add this to their animation collections when it becomes available to purchase. Thanks to ICv2 and MTV for the following trailer, which takes a while to load:
