We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
Black Panther returns to the shelves in a new comic book series in Spring of 2016. Best of all bestselling author Ta-Nehisi will be writing the first year long story arc entitled “A Nation Under Our Feet”. Illustrations for the series will be provided by Brian Stelfreeze. Thanks to ICv2 for the heads up.
Season 3 of Arrow looks to be like great outing and now we also get the first season of the Flash. And to top it all off they are tied together. Bringing us more superheroes and super villains. Michelle sent me this story, which I thought was pretty cool. For their 10th anniversary a husband planned a surprise geek wedding, for his wife. I don’t know if I could get this by Michelle and she would probably roll her eyes when she got there. She isn’t into the SciFi/Comics/Gaming like I am, she lets me do my thing though and sends me cute emails like this one. She’s great! Anyway check out the cake and rings, kind of cool. The groom and groomsmen didn’t dress up in costume, they had on comic related T-shirts under their shirts. Dark Horse Comics is coming out with The Star Wars mini series based on George Lucas’ original screenplay. If you buy individual issues or the trade format this is one your will want to consider for your collections. Of course for the trade you will have to wait a while until it is released after the mini series has finished its run. Thanks to “darkhorsecomics” channel on YouTube for the following trailer:
Boom! Studios have picked up the rights to FX’s Sons of Anarchy. The projected distribution date is set for September. Once enough material is published you can expect a graphic novel, which will probably be in the first or second quarter of 2014. Just by seeing the show a few times this title will probably be placed in the “Mature or Adult” Collection.

Batman Beyond and Justice League Beyond will be DC Comic’s first titles that will be distributed digitally first, starting in early February. Short segments, approximately 10 pages, of the story will be released weekly for $.99, then it will be published in a print edition at the end of the month for $3.99. DC is still testing the waters and making a few waves.
AMC has set the date for the debut of season 2 of the Walking Dead. The date is October 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET and it will be a 90 minute episode.
