Distance Between Dreams Original Soundtrack
Tom Holkenbory, aka Junkie XL, is sharing with our listeners a track from the Distance Between Dreams Original Soundtrack, that he scored, entitled “The Workx”. For the thrill seekers that we have the soundtrack, that “The Workx” is from, is the documentary film Distance Between Dreams that is produced by Red Bull Media about one of the most historic surf season with Ian Walsh. Both the album and documentary are available from digital vendors and they look to make physical copies in the near future. In this post we have first the single from the soundtrack “The Workx” through SoundCloud and second the trailer for Distance Between Dreams through Red Bull’s YouTube channel:
Avengers Infinity War First Look
I know everyone has probably seen this, but it’s just to cool not to have here. It’s not just that it is the Marvel Universe with Avengers. It’s also at the very beginning that we find out that Marvel and Sony are still playing nice and we will have Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War. Very cool when you can get studios to work together. Now if they can get 20th Century Fox on board as well, it could be spectacular. Here is the first look video for Avengers: Infinity War through MovieClips Trailers YouTube channel:
Polar Waves Single “Stoner”
Polar Waves is hitting it out of the park with their first single, “Stoner”, from their upcoming album No One Needs Help Anymore. I think many of our listeners will enjoy this nice clean rock song. You have you hard beats coming at you with the slightly gruff vocals that come together and form what I think and should be the bands signature style. I’m eager to hear what else they will be giving us to enjoy. Here’s Polar Wave’s “Stoner” for everyone to rock to through SoundCloud – Richard:
Starship Republic, a Star Trek Fan Film Production, Indiegogo is Live!
We mentioned last week about the new Indiegogo page that was getting ready to go live for Starship Republic – a Star Trek fan film production. We’ll our good friend, Ray Tesi the director, has notified me that it has gone live. Check out the vignette that is on the page and help them to become part of the Star Trek Universe in your own way. Here’s the link for the Indiegogo page: Starship Republic – A Fan Film Production Indiegogo Page
Veio’s “Structures” Music Video
Veio gives our listeners a rock/metal single to check out with “Structures”. Veio has the metal sound down and I really enjoyed listening to this single. The lyrics where nice and clear and when the chorus hit it wasn’t to over the top, it was right were it needed to be. The music video is put together nicely, but I wish they would have done more of a story video, but that’s just my taste for music videos. Here’s Veio’s music video for “Structures” through their YouTube channel – Richard:
Man-Thing Mini-Series
This is one that many will want to keep their eye out for. R. L. Stine is writing a Man-Thing mini-series for Marvel. I will be picking up the floppies for me, but for those that like the collected editions this one will surely hit the market sometime this Summer if not earlier, because the first issue will be hitting shelves this month or the next. So get ready to add it to your library.
Sam Nicolosi’s Single “Caught Up”
Sam Nicolosi is sharing with our listeners his unique single “Caught Up”. The single starts out with a good Pop bass beat and then transitions into a little bit of experimental sounds and back to pop. This one and can dig part of it and other parts I have to wrap my head around. That might be what Sam is intending. Here’s Sam Nicolosi’s single “Caught Up” from his upcoming Origins EP – Richard:
Ep 67 ComicPop Visits with Julia Camara, the Writer, and Russ Emanuel, the Director, of the Feature Film “Occupants”
The ComicPop Crew jumps back and forth between Julia Camara and Russ Emanuel who are in two different places but in one. Could this be a reflection of their award winning feature film Occupants where the characters are sharing the same place parallel to one another. Join us as we have fun visiting with the writer, Julia, and the director, Russ, about Occupants.

Traveling Star Wars Vintage Toy Exhibit by Jarrod Roll
The Gail Borden Public Library just recently had Star Wars: The Nostalgia Awakens Vintage Toy Exhibit at their library. This traveling exhibit is owned and curated by Jarrod Roll, the director of the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum located in Sparta, Wisconsin. The Gail Borden Public Library made a six minute YouTube video with Jarrod and it shows some of the pieces that are in the exhibit. We recently had a two part visit with Jarrod that I am currently editing and hope to have up within the next few weeks. Until then here is the Gail Borden Public Library’s video that you can check out, from their YouTube channel, as a primer – Richard:
