Farewell to One of ComicPop’s Dear Friends

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I just found out today that Nadine Gelineau passed away last Friday while the ComicPop Crew was in Oklahoma. Nadine and the MuseBox was the first Music PR companies to take a chance with ComicPop Library and we began posting and reviewing the artists that they represented. Five years ago Nadine saw something in ComicPop that she liked and contacted me and we began working together along with several other MuseBox representatives over the years and now with many other Music PR companies. Without her support and taking a chance on us we might not have gotten the additional support that came to ComicPop. Even though all of our communication was through the internet, over the years we developed a friendship that I greatly appreciated. Nadine will be missed by me and I want to lift up her family and friends in this time of grief, to let them know we are thinking of them and her. Keep the music rockin’ Nadine! – Richard

Been Away for A While

The ComicPop Crew has been away for a while helping our friends down in Oklahoma. More on that next week. For today and the rest of the weekend I wanted to let everyone know we are still here, with a couple of posts for you. Rhonda is the author of Profit and Prosper with Public Relations: Insider Secrets to Make You a Success, which was pirated. With her recent accolades: Publicist of the Year from the Book Publicists of Southern California; an IRWIN Award (Industry Recognition of Writers in the News); and most recently Rhonda has been the recipient of the Publicist of the Year Award from the Bulldog Reporter, she has set about to educate the industry on the real threat of book piracy that exists not only for the big press, but for the small press as well.

The ComicPop Crew had the pleasure of visiting with Rhonda Rees on a topic she has had personal experience with, in part 1 of our interview. Rhonda is the author of Profit and Prosper with Public Relations: Insider Secrets to Make You a Success, which was pirated.
