This past ComicCon gave us the teaser trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising. Kaiju fans, like me, are excited! Here’s the teaser through MovieClips Trailers YouTube channel:

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer
Growing up my parents always picked up the DC Comics for me. So I’m more of a DC guy instead of a Marvel guy even though I love Marvel as well. But man I love see the small screen and big screen coming to life with what to me are my heroes. So you knew I couldn’t let the weekend come without posting the trailer to the new Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer that debuted at ComicCon. All I can say is it looks good. Seems to pick up within the Man of Steel battle, with Bruce Wayne present in Metropolis at the time. So that was a nice tie-in. Plus Batman has always been about protecting the people even to include other heroes that might turn. Check out Justice League: Tower of Babel for this concept. Thanks to Warner Bros. for streaming this on the YouTube channel for us to share with everyone – Richard:

The Shannara Chronicles Trailer
Another gem that comes to us from San Diego ComicCon is the first look video for MTV’s upcoming fantasy series The Shannara Chronicles. So all you fantasy fans, and especially the Terry Brooks’ fans of the Shannara novels, will need to keep an eye on MTV’s schedule. Take a look at the first look video from MTV’s YouTube channel, it looks pretty good:

Veronica Mars Movie is Coming
If you remember a few months back I we had a story about the Veronica Mars televisions series starting a Kickstarter to make a movie. Well the funds were raised and Warner Bros. released a trailer at Comic-Con this past weekend. The movie is currently being filmed. No word if it is a theatrical or tv movie or straight to DVD, we’ll have to wait and see on that front, but until then have fun watching the video below from “veronicamarsmovie’ channel on YouTube:
2011 Eisner Nominees
The Will Eisner Award Nominees for 2011 have been announced. Check out the link below for the full listing of nominees. The awards will be announced at ComicCon. As librarians tend to do when something wins an award, this can be used, as a promotional tool, to strengthen your graphic novel collections.
