Attack on Titan The Movie Part 1 Trailer

attack-on-titan

FUNimation has the Attack on Titan The Movie Part One available now.  This would go great in a collection of Japanese anime and live action films.  I’ve been waiting for the live action version to hit retail and now the wait is over.  Here’s the trailer from FUNimation’s YouTube channel:

“S.O.S.” from Sekai no Owari

sekai no owari2

It’s been a while and we said we would continue to spotlight Sekai no Owari because we enjoyed them so much.  So for their spotlight this time we are featuring the singles “S.O.S.” that was the theme for the movie Attack on Titan End of the World.  The music video to “S.O.S.” is filled with vivid imagery and will appeal to many as an “art” video, because of its style. Enjoy Sekai no Owari’s “S.O.S.” music video from their YouTube channel and support them if you can – Richard:

Kodansha Comics now Digital

kodansha

If you like your manga and comics in the digital format here is good news for you.  Kodansha Comics has made a deal with Comixology to distribute 350 titles on their digital platform, to include titles such as Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail.  Enjoy all that reading!

An Anime Night at the Orchestra!

anime1

This would be so cool to attend, but alas I won’t be able to.  If you happen to be in Japan on July 20th, you might want to look into it.  On July 20, the Japan Screen Music Symphony Orchestra will be in concert to share how music is one of the driving forces in anime.  Selections will come from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Attack on Titan, Neon Genesis Evangelion and other lesser know anime.  The concert will be held at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Upcoming Bushiroad Expansion Sets

bushyroad2bushyroad1

All you Bushiroad fans and TCG fans in general you will want to start saving back for the companies upcoming releases in the popular Weiss Schwarz trading card game.  In July an Attack on Titan themed expansion set will be hitting stores and then in August Fate/Stay Night gets another expansion set from them.  Each will have a Trial Deck and Booster Packs available.

All I can say is that I hope a North American distributor will pick up Attack on Titan for distribution.  Australian distributor Madmen Entertainment has already picked it up for their region and has begun streaming the following subtitled trailer on their YouTube channel.  Above is pictures of the movie poster and the three leads in order are: Haruma Miura as Eren; Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa; and Kanata Hongo as Armin.  Link over to AnimeNewsnetwork for more pictures:  http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-04-28/live-action-attack-on-titan-film-trailer-english-subtitled/.87606
