Here is the next Appleseed title to add to your anime collection. Appleseed Alpha is the latest CG animated film for the title that Masamune Shirow created. This movie tells the story of the early days of Deunan and Briareos and is scheduled to be released July 22. Thanks to the “IGN” channel for sharing the trailer on YouTube:
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber Leylaashley. Leylaashley takes the anime Appleseed and edits it around the song “Blow Me Away” performed by Breaking Benjamin. The editing is well done, nice clean cuts between scenes. I’ve always enjoyed the computer animation in this version of Appleseed. It is very clean looking. AnimeNews Network reports that Sony Pictures announced that director Shinji Aramaki will be directing a CG Starship Troopers: Invasion film. Aramaki is known for his work on the CG Appleseed films. The Starship Troopers film is due out in the Summer of 2012.
