Stephen Colbert to Host Zelda Orchestra
All you Zelda fans take notice, plus this is cool no matter what. AnimeNews Network has noticed that on the Zelda Orchestra’s website that it has been announced that they will be the musical guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on October 13. So set those DVR’s or make sure you are in front of you TV on the 13th.
Library Wars Short
Library Wars by Hiro Arikawa has had several incarnations which I hope the North American market will eventually get. But below is a live action short for Library Wars that Angle Pictures is sharing on their YouTube channel. It is entitled “Toshokan Mini Senso – The First Mission”. It is being shared in preparation of Angle Pictures release of “Toshokan Senso: Book of Memories” special that airs on October 5 in Japan. New Digimon being Released
Toei Animation is streaming the trailer for Digimon Saikai, the first in a planned 6 part movie series of new Digimon adventures. With the popularity I’m sure these will eventually hit the North American market, the only question will be when.
Future Diary Trailer
If you are a fan of the Battle Royal type of shows The Future Diary fits your bill. Looks to be fairly violent, but might have an interesting story behind the shows events. The complete series is available on Blu-ray, to add to your collection, from FUNimation, who is also providing the trailer through their YouTube channel:
Pokemon GO App Coming in 2016
The Pokemon Company is developing a Pokemon App with Nintendo GAME FREAK called Pokemon GO as part of Pokemon’s 20th Anniversary in 2016. The game will also have a Pokeman GO Plus wrist device that will notify you of activity in the game for if a Pokemon is in your area, but the device will not be a necessity to play the game. The device is pictured above and check out the cool commercial that is available through the Official Pokemon Channel on YouTube. I know Logan, Luis, and Jonathon, Co-Hosts of our podcasts, are going to love this:
Latest Mobile Suit Gundam Trailer
The latest Gundam title is Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and is already showing in Japan. With other Gundam properties coming to North America hopefully this one will arrive eventually as well. Check out the short TV add that is airing for the show in Japan:
Empire of Corpses Trailer
The trailer for The Empire of Corpses has begun streaming on their YouTube page and website. The film along with others are based on novelist Project Itoh works. Within the trailer the theme song for the movie, “Door” by EGOIST, is featured. Metal Gear Solid V Trailer
Are all you Snake fans ready for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Konami is gearing up for it’s release on September 1 with sharing the video games trailer with everyone from their YouTube channel.
Lady Baby Streams First Music Video “Nippon Manju”
This one is just to good to pass up. This just hit me on all cylinders for some reason. I’m not a big screamo fan, but I do like some, but I think it’s the band itself having fun that translates into the music and music video. Welcome Lady Baby to the masses. Lady Baby is an Idol band that recently formed and has just released their first music video for their single “Nippon Manju” single. The band consists of Rie Kaneko and Rei Kuromiya, that were Miss iD finalists, and the crossplaing heavy metal screamist Lady Beard.
