Eric Stimson has posted a cool article with photos on AnimeNews Network about a new Sailor Moon exhibit opening in Japan. The exhibit opened on April 16 and is scheduled to run through June 19 at Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills Observation Deck. The exhibit contains giant scrolls drawn by Sailor Moon’s creator Naoko Takeuchi, several other pieces of artwork anime artifacts, manga artifacts, costumes, and memorabilia and collectibles divided among six different rooms. So if you happen to be traveling in the area and are a Sailor Moon fan you might want to make plans to swing by the exhibit. Resident Evil The Musical
Here is something you probably didn’t think you would ever see. AnimeNews Network reports that CAPCOM recently announced Musical Biohazard: Voice of Gaia. The company has tapped Reon Yuzuki (pictured above) to be the lead in the musical, that will feature elements of ballet and action. The first run of the musical will be at Tokyo’s Akasaka ACT Theater from September 30 to October 12.
Gunslinger Startos 3 Trailer
Square Enix has begun streaming the long version trailer for the Gunslinger Stratos 3 game. The game has a May 12 Japan release date and will more than likely get a North American release date since others in the series have been distributed in North America, however there is no date yet for such a release. New “Death Note” Film
AnimeNews Network has a report that is great news for Death Note fans. Come this October there will be a new Death Note film to add to the story. Shinsuke Sato is directing this near future chapter in which two geniuses inherit DNA from L and Light and are in a war over six Death Notes that are on Earth. The cool news is that, as shown above, Erika Toda will be reprising her role as Misa Amane to help tie in the previous films.
Gundam at Diver City Tokyo Plaza
I have posted before about the Diver City Tokyo Plaza, but I wanted to do so again. If you happen to be traveling to Tokyo and love the Gundam franchise Diver City Tokyo Plaza is a stop you will definitely want to visit. If you can’t Ken Ikuhara-Gross has posted several pictures and brief history of the site on animenewsnetwork.com. Above are three of the images he posted in his article. Their are several more and will make you want to make a trip to see the Plaza. On the outside of the Plaza is a life size RX-78-2 Gundam (which is the first picture above) and in the plaza itself is a cafe and memorabilia shop. The 7th floor houses two museums, another gift shop and a Strict-G clothing store. Hokuto receives new Bronze “Fist of the North Star” Statue
The above bronze will be welcoming guests at the new Hakodate-Hakuto Station come March 26. The Hakkaido Line will connect Honshu, Japan’s main island, to Hokkaido, it northern island in the town of Hokuto. The current Oshima-Ono Station is being remodeled and named the New Hakodate-Hakuto Station. The towns name Hokuto roughly translates into “North Star” hence the bronze statue from Fist of the North Star that will be welcoming passengers as they arrive at the New Hakodate-Hakuto Station.

BabyMetal to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
AnimeNews Network is reporting that BabyMetal will be appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. This appearance was announce by their American distributor RED and will be during the week of April 1, which is when BabyMetal’s newest album Metal Resistence is due out. If you have never heard of BabyMetal here is a taste of them, from their official YouTube channel, with their music video for their single “Megitsune”:
Pacific Rim Hits Pacific Coast
Six Flaggs already has ties with Warner Bros. and features DC Comics character and Looney Tunes charater rides in their theme parks across the United States with a variety of rides. Now Six Flaggs Discovery Kingdom, in Vallejo, California, has announced that it will be adding a Pacific Rim attraction to it’s theme park. Might be cool we’ll just have to wait and see. No specific dates have been announced before the attraction will be open just coming soon, but it is this year.
