KanColle Girls Helping with Volunteer Firefighting Recruitment
AnimeNews Network brings us another interesting little tidbit with using popular characters to help with promotions. Volunteer firefighting brigade Shizuoka Fire Department No. 8 is using the KanColle girls in five different recruitment posters. The posters creator, who is also a volunteer member, Makoto Suzuki hopes the posters will encourage younger people to volunteer.

Did not see this mash-up coming. But I guess marketing is marketing even though it make you feel a little uncomfortable. Hello Kitty (celebrating it’s 40 anniversary) and Playboy (celebrating it’s 60 anniversary) have teamed up to provide merchandise to their fans in this mash-up of brand names. The French clothing & accessories retailer Colette created the merchandise and debuted it at Paris’ Crazy Horse caberet. Yuko Yamaguchi (Hello Kitty designer) and Sarah Andelman (Colette creative director & purchasing manager) where present. Here are some possible Lego sets for the future. During the year Lego takes Fan Concepts and if they get 10,000 supporters for their concept then the Lego company will consider it for an official set by Lego. In this go around some of the concepts that Lego will be looking at are: Macross sets; Legend of Zelda sets; Sherlock sets and; Back to the Future sets. For all the DragonBall fans this news will be great to hear. Akira Toriyama will be doing a tale about Goku’s mother, Gine. The work will be a bonus comic within the compilation manga called Jaco the Galactic Patrolman. It gives the story on how Gine and Goku’s father, Bardock, meet and she fall’s in love with him. 7 Eleven Teams with Gundam again for Store Promotional
The Japanese Retailers seem to have the coolest connections than anywhere else. The 7 Eleven’s in Japan has teamed up with Bandai again for a store promotional. Starting mid-January the stores will begin selling an exclusive Gundam model kit. Which is pictured above. If we could get our stores to do promotionals like this it would be really cool. This Makes Me Want to Buy a Bike
Just way to cool! Honda show of it’s MSX125 (Known as GROM in Japan) during the Tokyo Auto Salon 2014. The concept bikes had the color schemes of each of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’ve always like purple so I would take Donatello’s themed bike. Beautiful job guys, looks like you had fun building them.
