Didn’t realize I had already done the tribute video for Serenity, so here is another AMV for you. This one comes from YouTuber SimplyMadStudiOs. This AMV takes the song “Like it Loud” performed by Myah Marie and edits it to several anime: Bleach; Ookami-san; Toradora; Angel Beats; Higurashi; Macross Frontier; Shuffle!; Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; and Umineko, as stated by the maker of the AMV. It spotlights the female characters of these anime as the tough ladies that they are. The transitions are timed with the beats of the song which make it a fast paced video. The added background isn’t distracting, but add to the video. Just a great video with a great song nice going SimplyMadStudiOs. You can find the AMV on YouTube under “[SmS] We like it Loud! [Collab]” or check it out below:
AMV of the Week, It’s Shiny
This week’s AMV comes from YouTuber Heironeous77. Heironeous takes scenes from Serenity and edits them around the song “Blaze of Glory” performed by Bon Jovi. I believe everyone that is a science fiction fan knows about Firefly and it’s follow-up movie Serenity. If you haven’t seen either go to your library’s and asked to check the series and movie out. Just be sure to watch the series before you watch the movie. If your library doesn’t have them ask them to get it for you through their Interlibrary Loan Program. “Blaze of Glory” fits this series to a “T”. The cuts between scenes is nicely done and lyrics to from the song emulate the scenes well. It’s a shame that this AMV hasn’t been seen by more people. Hopefully this will change with this posting. Head to YouTube and search under “Serenity: Blaze of Glory” or check it out below:
AMV of the Week
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber LadySilverWings. LadySilverWings took the song “At the Beginning” performed by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis and edited it around scenes from Chrono Crusade. This is an older AMV, but still worthy of mention. The editing is done cleanly and if you know the story of Chrono Crusade (Manga or Anime) you know this song fits perfectly and it will bring back your feelings you were having at the end all over again. For those of you that don’t know the story I highly recommend you read the manga or watch the anime, then come back a watch the AMV, because it will make the impact of the AMV much better. Great job on your selection and editing LadySilverWings and thank you YouTube of the video, you can find it under “Chrono Crusade – Within My Heart” or watch it below.
AMV of the Week
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber Pugmasterjack. Pugmasterjack takes the song “Here We Go” by Jason Gochin and edits images from Air Gear to it. The song is a great catchy song and the editing cuts between scenes is well done. All in all a nice AMV that doesn’t have that many views. So check it out on YouTube under the tag “Here We Go Air Gear AMV” or below.
AMV of the Week
We are slowing it down this week. This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber Mapache9999. Mapache9999 takes the song “Making Love Out of Nothing At All” performed by Air Supply and edits it with images from Utawarerumono. The editing of the scenes with the music is good. There isn’t any harsh transitions between cuts. However, the subtitles are the bottom of the video are a little distracting and could have been left off. It is an older AMV, but it is still worth checking out on YouTube under “Utawarerumono AMV – Making Love out of Nothing at All” or check it out below. Thanks again to YouTube and Mapache9999.

The views on this video are low, but don’t let that stop you from view it. It is put together nicely, with attention given to the lyrics of the song and what images are used from the movie. The editing between scenes is smooth in the transitions with no jerkiness at all. If you have not seen Firefly the series or Serenity I recommend that you check it out, it’s a fun series, but be sure you start with the series and then watch the movie. This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber Leylaashley. Leylaashley takes the anime Appleseed and edits it around the song “Blow Me Away” performed by Breaking Benjamin. The editing is well done, nice clean cuts between scenes. I’ve always enjoyed the computer animation in this version of Appleseed. It is very clean looking. The song is a perfect fit and would go with any military type video. You can go to YouTube and look under “Appleseed AMV – Blow Me Away” and you can also check it out below. Great job Leylaashley.

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber ThreeMadCookies. ThreeMadCookies takes the song “I’ll be There for You” performed by The Rembrandts and edits it to scenes from Library Wars. The editing of the cut scenes is really clean and there is no jerkiness to the video. The song fits well with the edited scenes and follows the characters Iku Kasahara and Atsushi Dojo well. If one has read or watched Library Wars you will know that this song fits the show well and that ThreeMadCookies did a great job in selecting it for this AMV. AMV of the Week
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber cannonfodder90. Naruto is used for the imagery and it is edited around the song “You Can’t Hurry Love” performed by Phil Collins. First off I’ve always loved Phil Collins’ version of “You Can’t Hurry Love”. I can’t tell you why I just do. This is an older AMV, but still a decent video. Cannonfodder90 does a nice job of editing the scenes together and there is an attempt to match up Naruto’s lip movement with the songs lyrics. At times it works and at other times it doesn’t. Like I said it is still a nice video with a tune that I enjoy. You can find it on YouTube under “Naruto AMV – You Can’t Hurry Love and you can check it out below.
AMV of the Week
This week’s AMV comes from YouTuber Vinchila. Vinchila takes the song “Save the Last Dance For Me” performed by The Drifters and edits in images from cut scenes of Final Fantasy VIII video game. I thought with this weekend being New Year’s this was a good choice for this week’s AMV. The editing is top notch with overlays throughout the video. A very nice job of editing to go with a classic song. You can check out the AMV on YouTube under “You Can Dance – FFVIII” or watch it below. Everyone have a safe and Happy New Year.
