Jason Achilles Mezilis has just released his rock instrumental album Comedown this past June 28th. Jason has been kind enough to share his music video for the single “Panhandle” from that album. Jason is in a world that most people don’t see to often, that being in the world of instrumentalist. If you are like me and you listen to music for the rhythm and beat of a song more than likely you will enjoy instrumental pieces like soundtracks and Jason’s Comedown album, you just don’t realize. “Panhandle” has a bit of a modern western flare to it and the music video carries that flavor over into it as well. The music itself isn’t overbearing and really enjoyable. Definitely interested to hear more from the album. While you enjoy Jason Achilles Mezilis’ music video for “Panhandle” be sure to check out their site or a digital downloader to support the group and their release of Comedown. Fieldhouse Trailer
Part of the ComicPop Crew had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Scott Novosel, the author of the graphic novel Fieldhouse. Fieldhouse is based on Scott’s experiences on not quitting on your dream and show that no matter how big or small that dream might be it can happen. This would be one that would fit well in any Middle School or lower High School level libraries. We will be uploading our Visit with Scott later this week, but until then here is the book trailer for Fieldhouse and the Theme Song for Fieldhouse for you to enjoy provided from the Fieldhouse YouTube channel. To purchase your copy of Fieldhouse you can visit Scott’s website: http://fieldhousebook.com/

Kitty Decides Teaser Trailer
ComicPop has featured Amy Raasch before with her animated video “Cat Bird Coyote”. Amy is continuing her animal activism with Kitty Decides to benefit animal rescues. What is Kitty Decides? Here is a quick explanation and then the teaser trailer for Amy Raasch’s Webisode that will debut June 24, this Friday:
What is #KITTYDECIDES?It’s a retro-electropop novelty tune, a psychedelic video with a kitschy 1960’s aesthetic, and a fun commentary on our cultural obsession with the online feline. With 100% of proceeds benefitting rescue efforts, it’s lighthearted entertainment with a serious mission: to translate the massive enthusiasm for cat videos into meaningful donations to animal rescue efforts. The full video is set to be released this Friday June 24th, to coincide with Cat World Domination Day and to kickoff CatConLA 2016.
Alice Underground Digs “Superman”!
Alice Underground is sharing with the ComicPop listeners her jazzy new single “Superman”. This is a fun song for fans of old school Jazz. Alice has a clear sultry voice that hits all the right notes and scats beautifully. Within the song their is a clear homage to Superman with the old theme song reflected in the single at certain points. This one hits our flavors perfectly especially how can it not with the title of “Superman”. I had to include the music video, even though it has no imagery of Superman, because it is just a fun video and the night club scene being in black and the pop of red gives a call out that is very subtle. Plus the video is just fun to watch, almost like you are watching Dancing with the Stars. Enjoy Alice Underground’s “Superman” through their YouTube channel – Richard:
