Kimberley Locke Covers “I Will Survive”
Kimberley Locke, one of the finalist of American Idol in Season 2, shares with our listeners her rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s single “I Will Survive”. Kimberley takes the disco hit and slows it down to make it into a ballad. Some listeners that can remember Gloria’s hit might not recognize this rendition. Yu-Gi-Oh! Gets Mega Tins
With a new feature coming out in 2017 (Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions) Konami is releasing two Mega Tins featuring Yugi and Kaiba this September. The tins will reportedly have six variant cards: 2 Ultra Rare variant cards of Yugi or Kaiba, Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon in Ultra Rare foil, Secret Rare Egyptian God card specific to each tin, 3 Super Rare variant cards, 3 “16 card” Mega Packs and 2 brand new cards that will be part of the upcoming Pendulum Domination Structure Deck.
Funeral Suits Begins Spring by Planting the “Tree of Life”
Funeral Suits is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their lyrics video for their single “Tree of Life”. Even though this single talks about the daily life it looks at the aspect that this isn’t all for us. Things might be unexciting, unless you make it exciting. Look at the world around you and wonder in it. I really enjoyed the beat of the single and lyrics, which after a few listenings you will be able to join in with them in singing the “Tree of Life”. Two Graphic Novels on ALA’s Most Banned List
The two graphic novels above, Fun Home by Alison Bechdel and Habibi by Craig Thompson has made the American Library Association’s “Most Banned Books” list of 2015. Remember these are the opinions of individuals that some would agree with and some would not, you would have to read each graphic novel yourself to see what you think. For Fun Home was challenged for the following reasons “violence and other graphic images” and with Habibi for nudity, sexually explicit and unsuited for age group. Adam Jensen is sharing with our listeners his latest music video for his single “Numb”. “Numb” is one of those songs that one can get into rather easily. The rhythm is really good and lyrics are very singable and almost everyone can relate to the song to some degree or another.
