FUNimation has released Dance in the Vampire Bund the complete season. If you can you might want to preview this before adding it to your collection. It looks like it might be a mature title, but I’m not positive, I’m going by images that I have found online. One of the movies I have been eagerly awaiting comes out this weekend. Of course that is DC Comics’ Green Lantern. I’m sure all of your patrons will know this, but it can give you some talking points if you only have a passing knowledge of comic books. Watch the feature below thanks to YahooMovies.
For all your patrons that like horror, anime, and comic books Marvel has put up a trailer for the Blade anime series. This will eventually play on G4 in their Marvel run of anime titles.
Marvel’s site reports that G4 will start airing the new anime styled Marvel animation this July. The titles will be: Ironman; Wolverine; X-Men; and Blade. For all the areas that get G4 let your patrons know to start keeping an eye on their TV listings. Below is the trailer for the titles coming to G4.

This weekend is the opening for Super 8, which will be of interest to your patrons that enjoy the graphic novel/manga medium. Below is a trailer provided by YahooMovies.
AnimeNews Network is reporting that Tekken: Blood Vengeance produced by Namco Pictures and distributed by Bandai Entertainment will have a limited release to theaters. The date scheduled is July 26, so have your patrons that enjoy anime to start checking their local theaters. Even though it doesn’t have a list of theaters it is to be expected that it will be in the major metropolitan areas. Trailer is provided through YouTube.

Librarians that have gamers as patrons will want to let them know about this or use it for talking points. 2K Games will be releasing Darkness II, a Top Cow Comics property, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC. Scheduled release date is October 4, 2011, for North American markets and October 7, 2011 for worldwide release. Below is a trailer for the upcoming game, be warned it does contain violent images. Kenjirou Hata’s Hayate the Combat Butler is getting a Taiwanese adaptation to premier June 19. Hopefully this will eventually become available to purchase in the U.S. market when it is put on DVD.
