Going Haywire

The first of this weekends offerings that might appeal to your patrons is the action adventure film Haywire. This will appeal to your readers that like strong female leads like Witchblade and Tomb Raider to name just a few. Thanks to YahooMovies for the following trailer.

Calling all Disney Otaku

All of your library’s Disney fans will want to check their local theaters to see if they will be showing the release of Beauty and the Beast in 3-D.  This is one of Disney’s most popular movies and I can see several families going to see it again with their children.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the trailer.

Making a Joyful Noise

For all of you that love music and feel good movies this weeks Joyful Noise will be of interest to you.  With two of the best singers cast (Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton) you know you are going to hear some great singing.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the trailer.

New Code Geass!

Bandai Namco announced a new Code Geass project, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.  Since Code Geass was popular in the U.S., I would expect this title to eventually be available in the North American market towards the end of 2012 or beginning of 2013.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network and YouTuber u073024 for the following promotional clip.

Shining Blade PSP Trailer and Opening

Below is the promo trailer for the Sega Shining Blade PSP role playing game.  It is scheduled for a March 15 release.  The video below the trailer is the opening for the game, which your J-Pop fans will have an interest in viewing.  It is performed by Lia and is entitled “Lorelei no Shi”.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network and YouTubers gamernejp, for the promo trailer and SEGA for the Game Opening.

Are Your Blades Sharpened

Blade the anime series will begin airing January 13 on G4.  This will appeal to your Marvel comic book fans and Japanese anime fans, so be sure to pass the news along.  Thanks to ICv2 and YouTuber azraelknightify for the trailer.

A Theater’s Darkest Hour

This looks to be the only movie I could find that might be of interest for your patrons that like Science Fiction/Horror.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the trailer.

Last but not Least, Ghost Protocol

The last entry that I believe will be of interest for the ComicPop Library crowd is Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. It looks to be a straight up action movie to have fun with.  Thanks again to YahooMovies! for the trailer below.

Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo

This is one that my family will probably skip.  Not because it will be a bad movie, but because we have already seen the trilogy, that was translated from Swedish, and we don’t want to make comparisons between the two.  If you have not read the books or seen the original movies, it’s a good story, however it does have it’s slow moments.  Thanks to YahooMovies! for the trailer below.

Adventures of Tin Tin

For your patrons that like animation here is the most recent offering, The Adventures of Tin Tin, opens this weekend.  Thanks to YahooMovies! for the trailer below.
