Another older manga and anime is getting the facelift treatment in Japan, from Toei Animation. This time it is Leiji Matsumoto’s Captain Harlock. Hopefully this will become available in the North American market. It is set to debut in Japan September 7. Sentai Filmworks is releasing Kids on a Slope today on Blu-Ray and DVD. However, if you ordered the Blu-Ray AnimeNews Network is reporting a recall on the Blu-Ray sets because on one of the disc only one voice was transfered (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-05-06/retailer/sentai-filmworks-recalls-kids-on-the-slope-bd-release). SyFy’s new experiment, Defiance. The television series won’t be able to be purchased until after the season, but the video game is available to purchase for your video game collections. In our Summer Movie podcast I speculated that the R.I.P.D. was a spinoff of the Hellboy Comics. I humbly come to you and say I was completely wrong. It is still based on a comic book though.
