Farewell to One of ComicPop’s Dear Friends

musenadine

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.  I just found out today that Nadine Gelineau passed away last Friday while the ComicPop Crew was in Oklahoma.  Nadine and the MuseBox was the first Music PR companies to take a chance with ComicPop Library and we began posting and reviewing the artists that they represented.  Five years ago Nadine saw something in ComicPop that she liked and contacted me and we began working together along with several other MuseBox representatives over the years and now with many other Music PR companies.  Without her support and taking a chance on us we might not have gotten the additional support that came to ComicPop.  Even though all of our communication was through the internet, over the years we developed a friendship that I greatly appreciated.  Nadine will be missed by me and I want to lift up her family and friends in this time of grief, to let them know we are thinking of them and her.  Keep the music rockin’ Nadine! – Richard

Lilly Wolf Wonders about a “Terrible Mistake”

blackpandaPRlilly wolf

Come join us for a “Terrible Mistake” that isn’t quite so terrible.  Lilly Wolf is sharing her music video for “Terrible Mistake” from her Deleted Scenes album.  This individual single has an electronic/pop feel to it.  The vocals are really nice and clear with the instrumentals complementing the singer.  The video is interesting in that it has been shot and then run backwards, but for me it is the single that I gravitate to and enjoy.  Check out “Terrible Mistake” that Lilly Wolf is sharing with the ComicPop listeners through their YouTube channel – Richard:

Holy Sheboygan! is in the “Belly of the Beast”

Holy Sheboygan! is sharing their music video for “Belly of the Beast”, with our listeners.  I love the R&B sound that the group has and can see more coming from them.  About two minutes into the single there is a shift in rhythm that will throw some people, but then it goes right back into the original beat.  With the music video it will be mixed in who will enjoy it or won’t.  With everything spinning around, for some it will be difficult to watch if they have any type of motion sickness.  Other wise it won’t be a problem.  Have fun with “Belly of the Beast” that Holy Sheboygan! is sharing with us through their Vimeo account – Richard:

Lady Low Wants Just “You and I”

LADY-LOW-2

Lady Low is giving the listeners of ComicPop Library another great music video for their single “You & I”.  I love Lady Low’s sound and we definitely want everyone to enjoy their harmony that they have in this, what I would call, Love Ballad.  The music video harkens back to “High School” days with being in black and white and with the letterman’s jacket.  Everyone enjoy Lady Low’s music video for “You & I” and be sure to look them up on iTunes to download their songs – Richard:

JOME’s Premiere Single “Brushstroke”

blackpandaPRJOME

JOME is sharing with the ComicPop listeners the premiere of “Brushstroke”.  The drums that the piece utilizes give the single a little bit of a tribal feel, which I enjoy.  When the chorus hits it brings up the songs tempo and gives a nice contrasting element between the verse and chorus.  To me this is an anthem song for people that don’t want to be forgotten and to change that precept and not be forgotten is to change the color you paint your would with or even the “Brushstroke”.  Thanks to JOME for sharing “Brushstroke” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Lexi wants You to “Say it Like You Mean It”

muselexi

Lexi Baker is sharing with the ComicPop listeners her single “Say it Like You Mean It”.  This is one that has Electronic/Pop  written all over it.  The rhythm is catchy and the music is loud.  That doesn’t mean you can’t hear Lexi sing.  They have her mixed in with the instruments really well that she is not overpowered by them.  Her voice comes through nice and clear.  A great way to start the week so enjoy Lexi Baker’s “Say it Like You Mean it” (Headphone Surround Mix) through SoundCloud – Richard:

Hobart W Fink will “Never Doubt” You

Melina Diehl wants You!, “Seriously”

city bird publicitymelina diehl

Melina Diehl is sharing her debut single, “Seriously’, with the ComicPop listeners.  This single is at it’s best because of it’s simplistic form.  Not every artist can sing a song in this manner, because the singer becomes the focal point not the instruments.  There is limited instruments and/or mixing to the sound, so to me it comes across as more pure.  Very nicely done and Melina should be highly complimented for this.  This is a comforting single about a person wanting to share their love with their significant other and wanting to take that first step towards a lasting relationship.  Enjoy Melina’s debut “Seriously” through SoundCloud – Richard:
