AMV of the Week

In the spirit of the holidays I choose this week’s AMV.  YouTuber noburulez took the Christmas song “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” performed by N*SYNC and edited it to several different anime.  I was able to pick out Ramma 1/2, Chrono Crusade, Tenchi and Love Hina.  Noburulez did a nice job of editing all of the different scenes together and I couldn’t see very many hard jerks between edits, very smooth transitions.  Images were chosen because of their Christmas feel.  This AMV was just recently posted on YouTube so go to the site so go watch it and rate it.  You can find it under “MERY CHRISTMAS—AMV (MULTI ANIME MIX)” and check it out below as well.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber JellonaKunkku.  The song used by JellonaKunkku is “Take on Me” performed by A-Ha and is edited to scenes from Fullmetal Alchemist.  For those that can remember the music video for “Take on Me”, it was set in a comic book world.  Therefore, it is fitting that it be used for another comic book world.  Their are a few jumps in the editing, but the majority is cleanly done and where primarily taken from the clean openings of the series. I could be wrong about the clean openings being used, but they look real familiar to me.  A nice job by JellonaKunkku on bringing together two things I enjoy.  You can check out the video below or go to YouTube and use the search query “Fullmetal Alchemist – Take On Me AMV”.

Pokemon Inspiration

Inspiration can come from anywhere and words are powerful in any context.  Watch the clip below, from AnimeNews Network, that shows Presidential Candidate Herman Cain quoting the lyrics from “The Power of One” by Donna Summer from the movie Pokemon 2000.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber xwiz89.  Xwiz89 takes the song “Just the Way You Are”, performed by Bruno Mars and edits it to two different anime.  One of the anime is Nyan Koi and the other is Bakemonogatari.  The editing is not done to match up the lyrics of the song.  What is done is xwiz89 takes images from both anime that emulates what Bruno Mars sings about in his song.  The image selection is nicely done and the editing of the images is seamless.  You can check out the AMV on YouTube under the tag “Just the Way You Are AMV” or you can watch it below.  A job well done xwiz89, hopefully you will do more than just this one AMV.

AMV of the Week

Let’s throw one to the TV crowd.  This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber cooltrainertom.  The music for this AMV was from Lo-Ball, Paule Perrette’s band, “Can’t get me Down” and is edited to scenes of her from NCIS. The song is catchy, her smile is infectious and the editing of the scenes captures the upbeat theme of the song and the Abby character.  If you want to see the video on YouTube search under the tag “Ncis Abby – Can’t get me down” or check it out below. Nice job cooltrainertom.

AMV of the Week

This week’s AMV comes from YouTuber MPilotVF1V.  This one is for all the Mecha fans out there.  MPilotVF1V has taken “Blow Me Away” performed by Breaking Benjamin and edited it to Robotech Shadow Chronicles scenes.  The song fits the images and the editing is seamless.  It is a nice clean job and very well done  You can check it out on YouTube under “Robotech/Macross-Blow Me Away AMV” or check it out below.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from Youtuber imthemaster312.  This individual takes the song “Would you be my Girlfriend” performed by Nsync featuring Nelly and edits it to scenes from Ah My Goddess! You can tell imthemaster312 to some time putting this video together.  The words, of the song, are lined up really well with the lip movements of the characters in the scenes.  You can tell scenes were used that emulated what the song’s lyrics where.  This was a really well done AMV and you can watch it on YouTube under the tag “Ah My Goddess-AMV-Would You Be My Girlfriend” or you can catch it below.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber Kalysons.  This individual takes the song “Time for Me to Fly”, performed by Jonas Brothers, and edits it to images from the animated Avatar: The Last Airbender.  Many will discount this AMV, it hasn’t been viewed much, because of their feelings toward the Jonas Brothers.  It doesn’t matter to me how much an AMV has been viewed or not.  I look at how it’s put together, if the song is catchy and if it fits the anime.  This song has a good message and fits Aang and his journey perfectly.  There is some pixelation within the video, but not enough to distract from the viewing.  Check it out on YouTube under “Avatar AMV – Aang – Time For Me To Fly or check it out below.  I enjoyed it Kalysons.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber mayurei.   This individual has taken the song “Haunt You Every Day” performed by Weezer and edited it to images from the series Ghost Hunt.  It is a longer and slower, but it captures the feel of Ghost Hunt.  Mayurei spent some time with this by going through the episodes and finding clips where the words of the song are lip synced perfectly with the anime to make it look like the character shown is actually singing the words of the song.  Great job all the way around.  You can check out the video on YouTube under the tag “I’ll Haunt You – Ghost Hunt AMV” or watch it below.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber victorwonder.  This is a few years old, but it still is a nice video.  The song “Do You Believe in Magic” performed by Aly & A.J. is a nice cover of an older song.  It’s been covered a couple of different times, but the ladies don’t do anything major changes to the arrangement.  It’s just a nice pop song.  Victorwonder takes and episode of Justice League Unlimited, that features Zatanna, entitled “This Little Piggy” and edits images of Zatanna with the song, which is a perfect fit.  This video is nothing elaborate just a good nicely done AMV.  You can look for it under the tag “fmv | zatanna | “do you believe in magic?” by aly & aj” or check it out below:
