Noah and the Whale Single

Noah and the Whale is a group that hails from London.  There fourth album Heart of Nowhere is also one of their singles “Heart of Nowhere – Featuring Anna Calvi.  This is one I could take or leave.  It’s not bad, I have definitely heard worse.  The intro is drawn out a little to far and the singer during the verses, to me, sounds a little like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.  Check them out it might be something you will enjoy.  For more indie music info. visit the Wild Honey Pie site at http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Warm Water from Banks

Banks has a sound of a seductive songstress.  The quality of music is kind of Bluesy and her voice to me is similar to Bonnie Raitt.  She only has three songs out that I could find at this time “Warm Water” (which is below as a video), “Fall Over”, and “Before I Ever Met You”.  Looks like she is well on her way to getting enough material available to make an album.  For more indie music be sure to check out Wild Honey Pie’s website: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Two JAM Project’s Music Video’s Streamed

Metropolis by Owl City

April found this will she was on a school trip I believe.  This fits our site so good I had to post it.  The song is “Metropolis” by Owl City.  Just like almost every song of Owl City’s it has that catchy rhythm and lyrics.  Thanks to the “Vevo” channel on YouTube for having this video available: (Stop Bullying when you can, but be safe.)

I Will, I Swear, Honest

I Will, I Swear is a group that comes to us from Belgium.  The track we have for you to listen to is the song “Sleep”.  I love the piano being the key instrument.  Then about one and a half minutes in bells come in as the back ground music, this is the part of the song I love.  Then at about two minutes in an instrumental interlude comes in with the rest of the band leading into a crescendo, then back to the piano.  The singers voice is very pleasant to listen to, she has a nice tone to her voice. Very nice, I really like this song.  Be sure to check out Wild Honey Pie’s site http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/ for more Indy music news.

Little Miss Sunshine

Calab Hawley is a Harlem based artist, who has released three albums.  “Little Miss Sunshine” is from his upcoming fourth album.  This song is inspired by his eight year old niece being bullied.  The song has a good message about being who you are and not somebody else.  It kind of feels like a late ’60’s to early ’70’s style of music.  So if you are into that time period you will like this song.  Give it a listen, I think you will enjoy it.  Be sure to check out Wild Honey Pie’s website http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/ for more Indy music news.

Releasing Three New Singles and Videos Between Memorial Day and Labor Day

Hopefully we will get updates on these three singles from The MuseBox when they are available.  I will also try to keep an eye out for them myself.  Until then here is Metropolis America’s website were you can listen to their current singles.  I like the sound, nice clean rock sound and the instruments don’t over power their voices, which as you know for me is a pet peeve.  Check them out, if you didn’t already know about them, you might find that this group is right for you and want to download their music, which by the way is available on their site at no charge.  Very nice guys, well played.
