Oblivion Trailer

There is only one blockbuster coming out this weekend and that is Tom Cruise’s Oblivion.  It looks like a decent SciFi/Adventure flick.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the following trailer:

Stop by and Support Ray

If you are in the Long Beach area stop by and see our friend Ray, of Lolita Dark, as she starts a new venture at M.A.D. haus.  Starting May 11 and continuing every second Saturday each month after that Ray will be hosting the evenings entertainment where different bands will be spotlighted in conjunction with Cultural Alliance of Long Beach (I’m sure she will do some singing as well) so it’s bound to be a fun evening.

Ken Johnson to be at C2E2

Our friend Ken Johnson has announced that he will be attending C2E2, in Chicago.  This is next weekend (April 26 – 28).  When you get your schedules ready stop by Ken’s booth and say hi and check out his creation Velica.

Boston Marathon

From all of us here at ComicPop our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone living in Boston or went there for the Marathon.

The Young Women Latest

The band The Young Women have released a single for your pleasure entitled “No Good”.  This is an acoustic song so if you come looking for a big pop song this one isn’t for you.  This feels more like a folk song to me.  It is a little bit of a slow song.  At the end they bring in more instruments for a fuller sound, which I wish they would have done earlier in the song for a much more interesting feel, but that’s just me.  You might like it how it is.  Thanks to Wild Honey Pie and visit them for additional Indy music news at: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

42 Trailer

For those that like the more serious movies the new docu/film 42 comes out this weekend.  This looks to be a pretty good film on how Jackie Robinson and baseball helped in the struggle to break down barriers.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the following trailer:

Interesting

This is one of those were you just scratch your head.  It looks interesting, but I don’t know.  Hyundai has developed this vehicle (E4U) as something to show the public of what pedestrian travel could be in the future.  I look at it and the first thing that pops into my head is what about when you have to go over a pothole?  Would it face plant the driver?  Thanks to YouTuber “E4U @ Seoul Motor Show 2013” for the following video:
