This one is for all your Trading Card Game enthusiasts. Konami is scheduled to release, Yu-Gi-Oh! Gold Series: Haunted Mine, on June 12. This series is introducing a Gold/Ghost Hybrid card. The hybrid card will be a 3-D holographic image and have a gold border and gold text. The series will be released in boxes of 25 cards for around $19.99. The break down of the pack will be: 1 Gold Ghost Hybrid card; 2 Gold Rare cards; and 22 common cards.

For gamers in the Atlanta, Georgia area get ready to duel. The Yu-Gi-Oh Championship Series is coming to your area for it’s first tournament of 2012, February 18-19. It will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center. Be sure to let your gaming patrons know and it might be an opportunity for your library to hold a local tournament event, for the one’s that can’t go to this big event.
Konami will be releasing the next Yu-Gi-Oh booster packs this coming January. The title of the Booster set is Order of Chaos and will be a 100 card set to include: 8 Secret Rare; 10 Ultra Rare; and 14 Super Rare Cards. Be sure to let your gamers know so they can start planning their budget.
Konami will be releasing Yu-Gi-Oh: Hidden Arsenal 5, Steelswarm Invasion on December 6. This booster set will have 60 cards and they will all be foil cards. These were previously available at Duel Terminals, so let your gamers know to keep their eyes open at their local hobby shops.
Don’t forget to let your gamers know about the latest release of new Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The new cards from Konami are booster packs titled Photon Shockwave. The packs will be priced at a suggested price of $3.99 with a release date of November 15. This is only a few weeks away, then gamers will need to start checking out their local stores that carry Yu-Gi-Oh cards. A couple of the cards will be “Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon” and “Rescue Rabbit”.
With Yu-Gi-Oh still going strong, CW 4Kids Toonzai is debuting Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, October 15. The franchise is still strong here in the U.S., so this is a title for librarians that keep track of their Anime Collection to place in their forth coming folder as a possible purchase in the future. Konami’s website is showing a new structure deck that you can talk to your gaming patrons about. Gates of the Underworld Structure Deck will have 40 cards in it and is slated for an October 11, release with a suggested retail price of $9.99. If your Yu-Gi-Oh players don’t already know about this, tell them about it.
Librarians might want to tell their Trading Card Gamers (specifically Yu-Gi-Oh gamers) about Kanomi’s next release. Coming in October, Kanomi is releasing the Yu-Gi-Oh, Legendary Collection 2: The Duel Academy Years binder. The binder will have 58 cards, which 28 will be foil cards. Rumored cards that come with the binder are 7 exclusive cards to the binder, 3 sacred beast cards and 3 Darkloid monsters (these monsters were previously only available as championship prizes). Here is what some of your gamers will be talking about shortly. Scheduled for release tomorrow, Tuesday, is the new booster packs Yu-Gi-Oh Generation Force. The set will contain 100 cards, which will include two of the most powerful XYZ Monsters “Tiras Keeper of Genesis” and “Adreus Keeper of Armageddon”.
