Anna Rose is back with her sultry voice with “Bury Me Deep”. If you remember from our podcast featuring Anna’s EP Strays in the Cut the Crew really enjoyed Anna’s style. She delivers on the rock aspect, but with “Bury Me Deep” she uses her voice and the instrumentality to put together a slower more soulful sound. The lyric video is done in grey scale with the lyrics fading in and out over the multiple imagery that the director has chosen for the video. This makes for a more interesting lyric video. If you haven’t check out Anna’s EP yet, check out this sample she is sharing with us through her YouTube channel and then find her on your digital content vendor of choice. Hidden Cabins Music Video “Bet It All On You”
Hidden Cabins is sharing with our listeners their music video for their single “Bet It All On You”. This single and music video are for those that love the long play singles, with this one ranging in over 9 minutes in length. For me this type of single is one that you just hit play and then you just have to let yourself go and experience the music. The instrumentals are more of an acoustic sound keeping it simple in nature. The lead singer has a quality to it that made me think of the lead singers style for Crash Test Dummies that the Alt/Rock fans will be happy to hear. The music video itself is pretty simplistic to match the single. It has one constantly looping image that gets darker as it progresses to the end of the video until only the duos name, Hidden Cabins, is spotlighted. A nice piece of effect. “Stormfront” a Star Trek Fan Film Production
If you remember the last part of 2016 and into the first part of 2017 we have been posting “Visits” with the cast and crew of the Melbourne Star Trek Fan Film Production. The first part of their story is available now on ShadowStorm Studios YouTube channel and it has been officially named Stormfront a Star Trek Fan Film Production. This was a labor of love that our friends Vance Major and Jeremy Minard have been planning and working on for the past couple of years and they finally get to see their “child”, the U.S.S. Melbourne, off to the big wide World. Part of the fun for ComicPop Library was doing the “Visits” with everyone, but Vance and Jeremy had a surprise for us. They allowed the ComicPop Crew to have a cameo scene in the production. We are the crew of the U.S.S. Carson. Logan is the security officer that gets shot, Jonathon is the communications officer that gets stabbed, and I (Richard) am the Captain of the Ship – Captain Stapleton. Who would have known it would be so much fun to die. We had a great time during the shoot and visiting with everyone and the camaraderie that everyone shared. Without further a due here is Stormfront a Star Trek Fan Film Production through ShadowStorm Studios, have fun – Richard:
Julia Carlucci’ Music Video for “Take Me Down”
Julia Carlucci is wanting our listeners to enjoy her music video for “Take Me Down”. “Take Me Down” has a nice bass beat that fits well with Julia’s lower range/smokey voice. It’s not a rough smokey voice, but a smooth smokey voice that one usually has that sings in a lower register. Loved the brass during the bridge between the verses. Then during the latter part of the single there is a clapping section that for me did a call back to Spiderbait’s “Black Betty” and how it was structured. The music video it self is pretty much a straight up performance video, but it is really clean and I enjoyed how they went to the specific sections of the band when they were being spotlighted during the song. Typhoid Rosie’s Music Video for “Baby I Want You”
Typhoid Rosie is keeping with their style of dark rock. Just having Typhoid in the name you kind of now what you are in for. They give you that driving rock sound in their single “Baby I Want You” that doesn’t necessarily say the single is dark, but when coupled with the music video it give you that dark vibe from the beginning and you get into a Dolores Claiborne type of kidnapping were the love is one sided and disturbing. You can tell Typhoid Rosie had fun with this video, which allows the viewer to watch it with the dark humor respected.
