Alright for those of you that now me I love ABBA and so it shouldn’t be any surprise I loved Mamma Mia! when it came out. Just a fun movie with fun music. Now we have Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again that looks just as fun and with more ABBA singles. And with the perfect casting of Cher. Watch the trailer, if you haven’t already, and you’ll know what I mean. Cloak & Dagger Sneak Peek
Marvel’s YouTube channel is giving us a sneak peek at the upcoming Cloak & Dagger series that will be on Freeform this June. The scene is basically the opening where the two leads discover their powers, which is different from the comic book origin. Cloak & Dagger is a strong story about drug use, overdose, and experimenting with new forms of drugs. Looks like the Freeform series might be taking a little bit different approach, especially if you are a fan of Cloak & Dagger and now how they received their powers in the comic books. Here’s the sneak peek from Marvel’s Youtube channel:
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight Trailer
DC is just hitting it out of the park with their animated features through Warner Bros. Animation. The next feature is Batman: Gotham by Gaslight from an ElseWorlds title from back in the day. It has Batman set back during the Jack the Ripper crimes. The trailer below is a scene from the feature with Ivy and the killer. Thanks to DC’s YouTube channel for this:
Scooby-Doo and Batman: The Brave and The Bold
For those of you in the know…this isn’t the first time Scooby-Doo and the Gang have teamed up with Batman. This happened back in the day as well. It’s all for fun and that’s how you will want to take this feature. So to get a blast from the past, for us old timers, check out Scooby-Doo and Batman: The Brave and The Bold’s trailer through DC’s YouTube channel:
Holy Golden’s Music Video for “Arrival”
Holy Golden is sharing with our listeners their music video for the single “Arrival”. This single has an ethereal quality to it. The singers voices are higher ranges and blend together to make that eerie, yet interest sound. With the title of their upcoming LP you can kind of see why they went this direction. Their album is entitled Otherworld and will be dropping February 16. The music video has a seafaring theme to it from back in the day of the clipper ships of old. It just keys on the two characters and you never see a ship, but with they arriving in a launch, being on a beach, and the clothing they are wearing…it all comes together. “Arrival” isn’t a sea shanty though, but it fits well within the musical themes of seafaring songs. Here’s Holy Golden’s music video for “Arrival” through their YouTube channel and be sure to keep an eye out in February for the Otherworld LP – Richard:
Bungo Stray Dogs Trailer
A new supernatural series is coming from FUNimation entitled Bungo Stray Dogs. Looks interesting to me and might be one to consider for your anime collections. Here’s the trailer through FUNimation’s YouTube channel:
Janice Releases Music Video for “Queen”
In Janice’s single “Queen” she gives the listener a slow hypnotic single. The piano in this single I love and really enjoy. The verse is quiet and thoughtful in it’s delivery and then the chorus comes in at a crescendo. Janice’s voice flows through the single effortlessly and is the standout of this single. The music video is done in grey scale to have a more impactful viewing and listening experience. Janice wanted to give our listeners a chance to check out her sound before her Fallin’ Up LP drops February 2. She has already been honored by being nominated for the Swedish Grammy’s “Best New Act”. Here’s Janice’s music video “Queen” for you to enjoy through her YouTube channel and don’t forget about her albums release date – Richard:
Death Wish Trailer
I loved the Death Wish movies back in the day. Just by the trailers and knowing Bruce Willis’ past work, this new Death Wish could be really good. Will it be a reboot of the franchise or just a stand alone? I guess we’ll see. Here’s the second trailer through MovieClips Trailers YouTube channel:
Jackie Venson’s Live Music Video for “Mysterious”
Jackie Venson is sharing with our listeners again. This time it is her Live Music Video for the single “Mysterious”. “Mysterious” continues with Jackie’s pop infused soul sound. The single starts out at a slow beat and builds up into a solid steady grooving rhythm. I feel in love with “Mysterious” when the chorus hit with the above mentioned beat, very nice. I also enjoyed Jackie’s voice that flows through the single and kept me engaged. So check out Jackie Venson’s “Mysterious” live music video, from her YouTube channel, and then be sure to look up her EP Transcends to add to your music collection – Richard:
