This weeks video comes to us from YouTuber StarWarsNerd456. Once you get past the opening he/she took the song “We Will Rock You” performed by Queen and edited it together with Star Wars The Clone Wars episode “Landing at Point Rain”. The sequencing of the lyrics and the characters fit together great….Anakin (Boy), Obi-Wan (Young Man) and Ki-Adi-Mundi (Old Man). This weeks amv comes from YouTuber Parasite02. Parasite02 takes Enya’s song “Book of Days” and blends it with clips from Chrono Trigger. I love Enya’s work, but I wasn’t sure how it would work with an AMV. Surprisingly with the Chrono Trigger clips it works really well. The fantasy and fast paced elements of the clips work great with the tempo of “Book of Days”. This weeks AMV is from a few years back. YouTuber technotronica made this AMV with Will Smith’s “Wild Wild West” combined with scenes from Trigun. The editing has great moments were the images match up with the songs lyrics perfectly. For this persons first AMV he/she did a great job. Tiger and Bunny has been simulcasting on YouTube’s VizMedia Channel. It has been getting good reviews from the people I’ve talked to about it and what I have read about it. Our AMV of the week comes from YouTuber miraclefalcon. The music for the video is “Letting Go” performed by Linkin Park and the animation is from Angel Beats. Miraclefalcon states that this video was a finalist at the Otakon 2011 and Katsucon 2011 contests. After watching the AMV I can see why. The editing is very nicely done and I especially like the drum beat cuts it has in the latter part of the video. This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber UraSei87. The song is “Can’t Help Falling in Love” performed by the A Teens. The animation is from the anime One Piece. The editing is done very well with the song and is fun to watch. At the end even if you don’t understand the spoken language you know what is happening, so it doesn’t distract the AMV to much. I’m a little behind on this because of a busy week, but here it is….The AMV of the Week. YouTuber 1984Neptune is featured in this weeks AMV. He has taken The Saturdays “Up” and used several animation scenes of women from the X-Men Universe. Great job 1984Neptune.
This weeks AMV comes from YouTuber boro666. He has taken Kenny Loggin’s “Danger Zone” and put it to clips from Battle Fairy Yukikaze. I’ve always liked this song and as the song was made primarily for the movie Top Gun it goes well with the aircraft of Yukikaze. Here is an AMV that I really enjoy on YouTube. The contributor is xXTess4evaXx and is under the query “We Are Young — YOUNG JUSTICE”. “We Are Young” is performed by 3Oh!3, which is a great song.
